Fits great in my p50. I do wish it would have come with screws but luckily I had some in my bits box.

This one has the heat sink to keep your drive cool. Some of the other caddys will hold your drive but they don't have the heat sink. Yes the heat sink is important. No heat sink is fine as long as you're not doing much with your computer. When in heavy use the drive will get hot and without anywhere for that heat to go the drive will start to slow itself down. Then your computer may not be as responsive. This caddy came with new screws and fit nicely in my Thinkpad P50. Good product. Thanks
