Works great!
It only took a couple of days for my 9-week-old Rhodesian Ridgeback to figure this out, and she uses her nose just like the picture shows. I have it in my screen porch, so that when she wants to come in the house she rings the bell. I laugh every time I hear it ring because I love that she knows what its for! There are several ring tones and four volume levels. The installation was easy, though I may have to install it higher as she gets bigger. Sometimes she will scratch at the screen door and whimper, but I just ignore her and then she knows she has to ring the bell to come in. It comes with great tips on how to train your dog to use the bell. Sometimes though, when I'm sitting out on the screen porch with her, she'll ring it because she just wants a treat. I'm hoping this is only because she is so young. Once she really gets the hang of it, I'll stop giving her treats. But for now it has worked great!OCT 24, 2014 UPDATE: It's been a couple of weeks of use, and I've noticed that sometimes when my puppy hits the doorbell, it doesn't sound. I think she tries to hit it from the side or not square on the front. She usually just waits a bit and tries again, but hopefully this isn't discouraging or frustrating her to the point she stops using it.

Great product
update after a few days in use: My Doggie Doorbells has stopped working after only a few days. The speaker (sound) works but the when you press the big yellow button..nothing happens. I have replaced batteries and still nothing. I purchased another one 2 years ago and I had the same problem and ordered a new one. Any suggestions? We (Sadie ... my lab) love this product and really want it to work. Any suggestions would be helpful.Update 12/03/2019: Keith from Pebble Smartdog door bell contacted me to troubleshoot and decided that I had a faulty product and immediatly replaced the part. He was very nice and I do appreciate it. Great Product !My Lab picked up on how this door bell worked fast. We both love this product as it has worked out well for both of us. I don't have to check to see if she wants in or not. She doesn't scratch the door. I purchased this in Feb 2017 and just ordered another one as this one no longer works. I live in wet and humid climate. It was purchased 2 1/2 years ago. I guess it depends on how smart your pet is as to how long it takes to train.

Worked well for 10 months, then broke.
This doorbell worked out pretty great at first. One issue was on the part of my dog. He liked to use his paw to ring it, even though I put it at nose level and trained him using treats and peanut butter on the yellow pad. His nails would get stuck in the hole in the middle that is meant to dispense treats while training them. My other dog caught on pretty quickly and would use her nose to ring it, however. That doesn't effect my rating of the product, but I wanted to make others aware if they have dogs who prefer to use their paws. The bigger issue is that it only lasted about 10 months. I purchased it in September. The batteries stopped working in one half of it in April, and the small battery in the other portion stopped working in May. I had replaced both of them. In the middle of May, it started ringing nonstop on its own. That was fine, because if I shook it just a little bit (not hard), it would stop. Around the middle of June, it stopped ringing. If I shook it a little bit, it would start working again. I think there is a loose connection that sometimes caused it to ring all the time and sometimes caused it to stop completely, depending on how it ended up when I shook it. The doorbell has now stopped working completely. It's a great idea and super cute, but I don't want to buy a new one every 10 months. I am replacing it with a regular doorbell in hopes that this one might last longer.

Very reliable
I waited to review this, to see how well it held up. It's still going strong after being outside in the wind and rain and snow for a year and a half. It's very reliable and works every time the dog pushes it.Guests are always amazed when they hear the doorbell and are told it is the dog ringing it. I just wish it had more "regular" sounding tones. The choices are mostly songs and things that take too long to finish. There is one regular-sounding doorbell chime that we use. At first it seemed like it was too loud but it turned out to be perfect because we can hear it from anywhere in the house. The puppy was was using it regularly within days, very easy to train. The older dog never quite got the hang of it - if the puppy wasn't out there with her to ring the bell, the older dog would just stand there patiently at the door waiting for someone to notice that she wanted to be let in. Maybe it's true what they say, that you can't teach an old dog new tricks (or maybe she's just not very bright). If you have a young dog or a smart dog there will probably be no problem training them to use it.

This works well and I've had them before but be aware difficult to return if ordered from UK
This product works well. My dog got used to using it very quickly. I ordered a new one and then found that I didn't need it. I tried to return it from the UK but the DHL barcode didn't work.

Easy to use and reliable doggie doorbell, great customer service
We’ve had this Pebble smart doggie door bell for more than a year and it’s worked wonderfully! Easy to teach your dog, even our poodle who seems scared of everything.Excellent customer service: The bell started to work less consistently after about a year despite changing batteries etc, and we got in touch with the company. The contact, Keith, was very helpful and indicated it may simply be the product not working as well over time, and so he offered a 50% discount on a second bell. We ordered it on amazon and indeed he refunded half the purchase price, which is great considering we used the original for over a year!

Best thing ever!!!
We decided to try bell training our new puppy (Bernese/Sheppard) 11 weeks old. The first couple days were interesting. We bought this doorbell for outside and the regular type bell for inside. She wanted nothing to do with the inside bell for the first few days and will now use it to go outside. She also has times when she will just beat the crap out of it! Kinda like the door stoppers on the bedroom/bathroom doors. However, the Pebble door bell she took to the first day! We would push the disc, open the door, say in the house, then walk in with her, then treat her. By the end of the day, she would look at us through the patio door, turn her head and look at the door bell, look back at us then push the yellow disc. After a couple days, we slowed down rewarding when she came in so she didn't think she gets a treat just for ringing the bell. IWe are going to get another Pebble to replace the inside bell. Many different ring tones. AWESOME product!! Would definetley recommend. Keeps patio doors clean and no scratches on the siding.

Best Ever- House Door Saver!
This product is the best ever. We just renovated our house and didn't want our dogs to ruin the new house door, like they did the last one. They would jump on our door when they asked to come back in. Training- keep on it, they will finally figure it out. It took me a month to train my small dog. My dog is a dog that will push the bell with his paw vrs with his nose ; as one of the methods suggest. This product lasted a year and eight months and replaced the battery once. When you think of it; how much it gets used and abused it fared excellent for the conditions it goes through. The only thing I can say is they may need to reword the description for the doggie doorbell. It should not be placed where it can get totally drenched in rain. Although this might be my design flaw, we have it on a shelf outside the door. There have been times where i have seen it sitting in water; which eventually made it rust where the battery goes and couldn't be fixed. Other than that it is one of the best products I have ever owned. Works well in weather conditions that may prove to be a challenge like -35°Cto even -40°Ca few times.

Great product!
Great little doorbell for our doggie! It took us about 20 minutes to train our pup to ring the doorbell, now she does it all the time! The chime selection is great, however it is a little loud. Easy set up, was ready to go! Too bad we didn't have this years ago.
