Relieved a lot of frustration
Allow me to chronicle the tale of replacing my crankset on my beginner fixed gear bike.It began, as many bad things do, with a dream. I bought my beginner fixed gear on the cheap, as beginners often do. I was wide-eyed, and didn't have much knowledge about what I was getting myself into, but boy did I have the enthusiasm!I was happy as could be, but slowly and surely, I found myself replacing every part of this bike. Fast forward to now. I had finally saved up enough to buy that new crankset and bottom bracket like I'd been wanting to for so long!My order was placed and a few days later, my shiny new Andel Standard Track crankset was at my door. Excited, I hurriedly removed all the hardware from the stock crankset. There, I ran into my first problem. Poor young, dumb Jade never knew she needed a crank puller to actually get the crank arms off. She just thought that as soon as you unscrewed the bolt, they would come off with a little force. Boy was she wrong. One trip to the local bike shop later, and I was ready to take on this bike. It was Jade vs the fixed gear and Jade was determined to come out on top. But there, we come upon our second issue. The bike shop sold me the wrong crank puller tool.My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined. No amount of force or effort was gonna free those crank arms with the tool they gave me. Peeved and disheartened, I broke down and ordered *this* crank puller to hopefully salvage what was left of my hope for this little improvement. It's a good thing I persisted. This crank puller turned my trial by ordeal into nothing more than a quick fix, which is all it should have been in the first place!I will give this tool a million stars for relieving my frankly huge amounts of frustration and allowing me to finally attach my brand new, dreamlike Andels. You're god damn right I'll recommend this tool. Now to have a crisis over my seized bottom bracket. . .

Gets the job done
There may be a really clever work-around, but most people will want a tool meant for the job. This worked very well, but I subtract a star because it required a little fiddling which could have been avoided if the packaging included brief instructions. Or else package it without the pusher component being advanced, so that first-time users will be set up for immediate success.

Guaranteed crank remover! Functions well.
I screwed up pretty royally with this thing. I bought this on an impulse to help me tighten up the bottom bracket on my recently re-painted bike. Immediately after opening the packaging, I went to work...using the big plunger on a square taper crank arm. BIG mistake. I go at it, and encountered quite a bit of force, and I "broke" it free...and ended up stripping the threads, as I was pushing and pulling against the crank arms instead of pushing against the bottom bracket. After realizing my mistake, I switched to the smaller plunger included, but the damage was already done. I decided to test the warranty at my local bike shop (who informed me that Pedro's was bought out by someone else, so I was a little concerned that I would need to buy a new crank remover...but they contacted their supplier and they said "no problem"...even though it was through my misuse of the tool (I left a little hole in my story when I brought it in to get it replaced). A week or so later, they had a new crank puller...I properly used the smaller plunger off the bat, and it worked wonderfully. I've used it a handful of times since then, and it still works great. The wrench arm is short enough that my pedals don't need to be removed for me to use this tool (kind of nice)...unsure on the length of my crank arms (sorry), but long enough to do the job. The tool works, it has a great warranty, even for idiots like me. I recommend this product!(note: be sure to remove your bike chain from your crank before using, or you may ruin your chain with the use of this tool, if your bike is sitting on the ground, and if it is a fixed gear...not that I would know from experience or anything)

Like it.
Bought this cause I thought I’d worn out my park tool remover. Right after i clicked buy it I found the new park tool remover I bought to replace the one I was using in the tool box, so now I have two. The pedros is slightly better IMO. Works smooth and easy, even on some severely corroded cranks.

Be sure to choose the correct size insert!
This product works perfectly. You screw the middle-section of the tool into threads on the crank that are designed to accept this type of tool. There is a central screw that the handle and an insert are attached to; you turn the handle and this causes the screw to move laterally. The insert pushes against the bottom bracket while the middle-section pushes outward (held in by the threads) and eventually the crank comes off. This tool uses torque and a screw to increase the amount of force you can apply parallel to the bottom bracket, making it much, much easier to remove a crank, which seems to have a death-grip on the bottom bracket. However, be sure to choose the correct size insert (it comes with a small one and a large one). The large one is pre-installed on the tool. However, if it is too big to fit through the hole in the crank (as it was for me), you will completely strip the threads out. It took over an hour to get the stripped crank off and I now have to buy a new one. It is completely my fault for not checking the fit of the insert, but perhaps Pedro's could ship the tool with the small insert pre-installed to keep users like me who are beginners from stripping the threads out. Users who needed the larger insert would probably not be at risk of stripping their threads out with the smaller one.

A Secret Tool That Works Like Magic
Amazing simple tool that works like magic. It took me less than a three minutes to take off the cranks. Before this tool I was trying to bang it into coming off but I decided to wait for this tool and I'm so glad I did. So easy! Now I know a huge secret of bike mechanics! An impossible job that can only be done with the right tool.
