An Electronic Silent Spring: Facing the Dangers and Creating Safe Limits

Rachel Carson's book "Silent Spring" written in 1962 inspired a generation of environmental movement and transformation. As awareness of toxins has become more mainstream, our biggest threat is now from electronic overload of wireless and electrical noise (dirty electricity) and the sad popular assumption that it's all completely safe. This book takes that belief and introduces readers to the real life experiences of countless individuals who have seem the darker side of the electronic revolution. Singer is able to take a very complex topic and simplify and clarify the issues. She wisely choose to include voices of many other experts in this movement to show that this is not the view of one person, but a growing network of concerned citizens from around the globe working together against this monumental threat to life. I am also thrilled to see her include the emerging link between EMF and autism and information about light flicker.This book is an excellent introduction to EMF and has a great deal of depth and detail that even experts in the field will learn from. I believe this book can deliver another worldwide movement to protect our generation.Great work!

Katie has EHS, electrical hypersensitivity, or RPS, radiation pollution sickness. I do as well. She's done an excellent job of gathering information that will boggle most peoples' minds, when they discover the truth about our wonderful modern electronic conveniences. I enjoyed listening to her presentation at Chataqua Auditorium in Boulder, CO, April 1, 2015. Her content, passion, compassion, and even her voice, remind me of Julia Butterfly Hill, who spent 738 days in the top of a tree a couple of decades ago , to educate and inspire care and conservation of the giant California redwoods. Some camp out in trees, some research and publish the facts. Many thanks and blessings to Katie for helping us become aware of the truth of an industry out to make money at the expense of US!

There are other more technical books on the topic, but this one targets non scientists. It also brings in many case studies in the words of the victims and their families. It spends time to explain the various types of radiation again geared for the lay person. Chapter 11 turns to giving some ways of remediating the dangers we are in. I really like this book. Have ordered a number for our politicians and schools. Other readers might do the same to help educate the public, and decision makers.

A well researched book with all the information required to be better informed of the dangers of electromagnetism. As a practicing electromagnetic inspector, based in New Zealand, I found new information that will assist me, to assist others, to have a better understanding and how to protect themselves.

I liked the combination of the personal stories intermingled with the science/research on the dangers of what I think is a runaway industry. Money talks and does not consider the consequences of what may be literally a threat to all life on earth. Few people realize that the Schuman Resonance, the frequency of the earth, and the frequency of our brains are as crucial to us as oxygen and water.This book discusses it all.

What a great book written with facts and passion. This is a must read book for anyone who cares about their children or their own health. I would give it six stars if I could. I have done my own research on SMART METERS and that caused me to read ten more books confirming what our politicians want to deny. Non-ionizing radiation does have biological effects.

What the author says is right on and needs to be heard. Unfortunately, the layout of the book - print, type, formatting, presentation of information - is really terrible. I found it difficult to stay with because it was just hard to read. She could use a good editor.

For anyone worried at the rise of Electrosmog, or affected by a new "Smart"Meter (don't forget - though it is a battle, you can get yours removed!), this book is very definitely recommended reading. It is reassuring to hear of others affected by radio waves / electricity, even if one also has great sympathy with their sufferings.
