On-Guard LK8001 Brute STD-8001 Keyed Shackle Lock - Black, 11.5 x 20.2 cm

It took a while for this to arrive from England. However, it arrived just as advertised. It fits my bike well, the lock and keys fit nicely too. Hopefully I'll never have to find out if it is good for preventing theft.

This is a good lock, and it does what's advertised.I don't love it because it seems a little hard to lock it, though. I feel like I struggle quite a bit with getting the bottom in the right position so it'll properly lock, but I'm also usually locking my bike up in the dark so I'm not sure if that's just an issue specific to me. All in all, it's a great lock and I feel pretty comfortable locking my bike up with this guy early in the AM. Just wish it was a little easier to lock.

I bought this to protect a valuable electric commuter bike, but even though it will take a massive effort to brute force this lock off, I have a lot of problem inserting the key. There appears to be some kind of protector bushing inside the key hole, but it shifts around and blocks the key so it can't be inserted reliably or easily.

Contrary to the description, this actually came with a mounting bracket, but I stopped using it because it was hard to position on my bike and would hit my knees. I ended up fastening it to the bike just behind the fork. It wobbles around a bit when I'm going uphill, but I don't need to get out of the seat much for the cases when I use this lock. Bike hasn't been stolen yet, but I'm pretty careful.

We purchased this lock along with a 60” steel link chain and sleeve to protect our expensive e-bikes from theft. While the manufacturer calls this lock a “Brute” it could easily be called a “Beast”. The only way to cut through this lock will be to use a grinding wheel and lots of sparks and time!!! Matched to the chain and our motion sensing alarms on the bikes - we hope to thwart any attempts to rob us of our bikes. The lock itself is very substantial and quite heavy. It would be best carried in a backpack or strong pannier (I have used both effectively) we also have the heavy chain to deal with - if you are using the lock/frame mount you could save yourself the hassle I suppose, but to honest the frame mount does not look very substantial and I would worry about the lock breaking the mount. Smooth opening and locking action, very positive seating into the lock bar creates a feeling of confidence in the security offered by the unit. Would buy again if needed.

I bought this lock for my new bike; I wanted something durable that wasn’t too expensive and could be transported around with the bike without having to wear a backpack to put it in.The lock is easy to lock and unlock as the end of the U comes off with a key, it also feels quite sturdy whilst not being too heavy. Finally, it can also be stored on a stand which can be attached to your bike frame whilst you are riding which I really like.

RAS, comme d'habitude, difficile d'évaluer la solidité d'un antivol sans s'être fait piquer le vélo attaché dessus. De loin ça semble au dessus de la moyenne et l'évaluation de la FUB va dans ce sens.Le package est complet, la manipulation facile, pas spécialement léger mais pas non plus intransportable... bref ! au prix proposé, c'est vraiment un bon produit.

Jag köpte den här produkten för min elcykel. Den verkar fungera bra men jag finner svårt att trycka ihop de två bitarna vad gäller låsning.

Nachdem ich ein neues Fahrrad kaufte, habe ich viel im Internet recherchiert bevor ich mich für dieses Schloss entschied. Die Verarbeitung is recht hochwertig und die Handhabung sehr einfach. Ich denke das Schloss bietet guten Schutz zu einem fairen Preis und nach über einem Jahr im Einsatz habe ich keine Probleme mit ihm gehabt.
