This is the best of the keychains I looked at when choosing one for my every day keys. Titanium so it won't corrode, solid build, very few moving parts, relies on the flex in the Titanium itself to provide the "spring" force to close the carabiner, and it's not easy to accidentally take the ring off if you don't mean to.As for the octagonal ring (not the carabiner), there is a SMALL chance that a thin keyring could find its way into the slot and eventually work its way off, or at least get stuck. It's only happened once to me.This allows me to hook into my belt loop or somewhere similar instead of having to put them in my pocket, past my wallet (so it doesn't get scratched) and is particularly good when I have my hands full and need to grab my keys, or need to put them somewhere without having to reach all the way into tight jean pockets.Will last you a lifetime.

Shopped around and have owned a few different Ti carabiners and this is the one. Those with the tools may look cool, but are really impractical. If you’re into EDC gear you should be carrying a multi tool of some sort. No need for awkward “tools” on a key carrier. This will last forever. Plus it’s rated 25kN. Conversation piece? Practical. Simple.
