Inexpensive, easy to pack, works okay
Probably a little small for a 14' boat and a strong breeze, but for typical drifting it's just fine. The price and packable size make it perfect for remote fishing trips. Of course it does result in more fish in the pan. Definitely a good add-on item.

Works great
I needed a drift sock to slow down my boat while doing some types of trolling, i.e. crawler rigs. This works. My trolling speed at idle went from 2.2 mph to 1.1 mph. I have 16 foot jon boat with a 15 hp motor. It also works good for slowing down drifting in the wind. This item is well made and does its job well. The price is really good compared to Cabelas or Bass Pro. It does have a note on it to not use it while trolling or drifting. Probably because lawyers think that people won't take it in before powering up the motor. That would put a lot of stress on the boat, but if you do that you get what you deserve. I highly recommend this product.

Great way to stay longer to fish an area without extra weight of anchor
I used this while fishing on my paddleboard. I didn't want additional weight from a steel anchor, so I thought I tried this out. In addition to the yellow anchor line from Walmart, $2 for 50' but only used 15', I also got a red parachord to attach to the tail of the anchor so easier to deflate. This drift sock allowed me to keep fishing the paddies and not getting blown away. I also added floats on the top and used zip ties to secure fishing weights on the opposite side to open the sock up quickly every time I throw it out.

Seems constructed well especially for the price. The description ...
Seems constructed well especially for the price. The description however is lacking. I purchased the 18 inch drift sock for my 14ft boat to use trolling to slow my speed in the winter. I guess after reading the description 18inches means something different to me than who wrote the description. All in all it still works as intended ND for the price is worth it but the description is misleading as to it's size.

Works as it should.
I bought a pair of 18" bags to use on my boat for trolling so I could run the engine at a higher RPM than idle speed. The pair slowed the boat as intended. The quality is good and they should last several years.

Does the job well
I bought this drift sock for my kayak and it works pretty good. It doesn't completely stop my kayak but it slows it down significantly, it makes fishing a lot easier because I don't have to constantly paddle just to stay in one area.

Diesel 150 HP motor trolls too fast
Added one of these on each side, tied to the bow cleats and it slowed the boat from an average of 3.5 MPH to 2.5 MPH.27 ft Sea Sport pilot house that weighs 12,500 lbs

It meets my needs perfectly!
Use this for both my 10' and 12' fishing kayaks to limit how much drift I get as well as helping to keep my pointed in the best direction for casting in windy conditions. It works great. It's the difference between casting in one spot 1-2 times or 8-10 times.
