Fairly mild chemical exfoliant
This chemical exfoliant is mild and did not irritate my sensitive skin whatsoever. I have other chemical exfoliants and they usually have a slight stinging sensation when I apply it to my skin at first but this had no such sting whatsoever. I applied it as the instructions indicated which was to apply for 10 minutes and wash off with water. My skin is clearer and smoother but it took longer for this to work than other chemical exfoliants. I needed to use this for a few weeks (2-3x a week) before seeing the benefits. My pores are clearer and smaller. But on the flip side this is more mild than other ones so for those who have sensitive skin and generally avoid chemical exfoliants, this one might be a good option because of how mild and gentle it is.Overall this mild chemical exfoliant is great for my sensitive skin. My only complaint about this product is that there are no instructions on the box nor the bottle. Instead the instructions are on one of those paper pamphlets that come inside the box. For someone like me who has TONS of skincare products, this is annoying as I can't keep track of these little pamphlets and wish they at minimum had the instructions on the bottle.Review For:DOCTOR BABOR Refine RX AHA 10 10 Peeling Gel, Salicylic Acid Regenerating Exfoliant for Blemish Prone Skin, Minimizes Pores, Non-Comedogenic

The Stronger Of Doctor Babor's Skin Peels
Quite a good facial peel that I find to be stronger than Doctor Babor's other facial peel. Both are excellent products, but between the two, I find this one to be the stronger of the two. Though stronger, it's still gentle and has not caused me any sort of burning or other irritations while using.Very easy to use. After cleansing your skin, apply this and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then rinse away. It will rinse away fairly easily. The only thing that I must log a complaint about is that the directions are extremely vague. In fact, not even really there. You can't assume one knows how to use these things, especially considering that some facial peels are designed to stay on the face even though most are meant to be rinsed away. Regardless, there should be very clear and exact directions included on the box and the bottle, not just on a website. Excellent product otherwise. This peel does a good job at gently dissolving the upper layer or so of skin to slough away dead skin cells, excess sebum, and other gunk that your cleanser may have missed. This will help to brighten the skin and even clarify which makes it cleaner and will help to prevent breakouts.Between the two facial peels that I've tried of Doctor Babor's, I would recommend this one for those with oily to normal skin while suggesting that those with normal to drier skin use their other facial peel. If like myself, you have combination skin, use this one when you are wanting a bit stronger peeling action and the other for a more gentle peel.

Works, But Hard to Justify Price
This German line of spa-quality skincare emphasizes natural ingredients and recycled packaging, boosting of a clean performance promise, which they say, "stands for maximum transparency, maximum reliability, and maximum performance." They also pledge to plant a tree near their company headquarters in Aachen, Germany for every product sold. This AHA peeling solution is meant to be used once or twice weekly. You apply it to your face, avoiding the eye area, and leave on for 10 minutes, before rinsing clean to leave smoother, softer and clearer skin. If you have sensitive skin, as I do, I'd advise doing a test patch on a less sensitive area (décolletage or back of hands are my go-to) before using on your face, to gauge your skin's reaction to the strength. Also leave on less than advertised, working up to the full time, just to be safe. I started with five minutes.I used this thin gel, which isn't quite as easy to apply as something like Drunk Elephant's Babyface, before my shower and while there was a tiny initial tingle and some slight redness immediately after washing, nothing bad at the 5 minute mark and my skin did feel very smooth and clean after use. This is drying, so I like to use a facial oil or rich serum after using and really let it soak in, before then applying a richer cream on top of that. Also, though you should already be using it everyday, definitely don't skip the sunscreen when using AHA treatments, as they make your skin even more susceptible than normal to UV damage. All in all, this works, but is very expensive, and hard to justify the price point when other systems, like the Dr. Gross Alpha Peeling Pads, are easier to use and less expensive as well, providing the same, if not better, results.

for us with oily skin
I have oily acne prone skin, large clogged pores, and sebum plugs galore. I have to exfoliate more often to clear out the sebum and build up. This peel is not for sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin and it made my olive tone skin turn pink. This does a good job of clearing out sebum build up. I saw a noticeable difference after about 3 weeks of use, which was only 7 or 8 uses of product. This does not prevent buildup, but definitely helps minimize the look of it. This also didn't stop oil production, and if anything, increased it at first I think from the deep clean. I used this in combination with other Dr BaBor products such as the lipo cleaner, calming rx, and healing mask.Product is harsh on skin, and I wouldn't use more than 2x a week. I did have a slight break out on my chin after the first week or so of using( I think due to deep cleaning and striping away oil) but went away and calmed down afterwards.
