I love this battery case, it is really well made, very strong and robust. I have dropped my phone a number of times , and it protects the phone very well. I feel very confident holding it - the material has a nice grippy feel and is comfortable to hold. The battery charges really well and is so useful when out and about for the day to re-charge my phone. The battery indicator on the back is really useful and the 'kickstand' on the back is great for being able to watch films on my phone hands free. i recommend this phone very highly - it just works really well.

Having bought this battery case close to 2022 NYE, I can now come with some conclusions after using this as a permanent case on my iPhone 8 for almost 4 months. Usage details: * Case has been permanently on my daily phone since purchase * Phone has not been dropped or splashed/submerged in liquid during this time, and it's never kept in contact with other objects (such as keys, etc) * Battery case has very rarely been charged to full (4 solid lights only a handful of times), and probably discharged to the last 1 light maybe once. * Lightning port on the battery case has always been protected by a silicone plug, when not connected to a cable. Observations: * As per instructions, battery connects to lightning cable, shows charge status for a few seconds, then automatically switches to direct phone charging. After completing that, it charges its own battery. Switching between the two modes can be done via the included button. * When disconnected from cables, case button functions as charger on/off. * Data pass-through seem to work fine with with functional genuine and non-genuine cables. Audio pass-through works with audio jack - lightning adapter, but does not work with audio+charging adapter. * The case sides are rubberised but thin, and the glass screen protector is taller than the edges of the case. Back plastic is rigid. I've been doing my best to avoid dropping the phone, as it doesn't look like it will protect much other than the back of the phone. * Phone case battery + iPhone 8's battery can now last about 2 days+ without full charge/discharge (from cca 20-90% each), on the same usage scenario that would make the phone last about half a day. * Expect a heavy battery case. Conclusions: * Battery case is heavier and seems more fragile than the (discontinued) Apple battery case, but does have the option to turn charge on/off - which means keeping both the case's, and your phone's batteries healthy for longer, and a higher capacity. (Keeping my phone's battery between 20 and 90% charge at all times, using Shortcuts' notifications, has kept its health to 92% after 4 years of use. I plan to do the same if at all possible, with any Lithium rechargeable battery). * It should be reliable and durable enough, as long as you don't bend the connector the wrong way, don't the case off and put it back on regularly, keep the lightning port protected from dust via a silicone cap (it doesn't seem to like the metal ones), don't drop it, keep it dry, don't fully charge and fully discharge the battery on a regular basis (same as your phone). * Camera lens might get more dust on it, compared to a slimmer case. * Overall a solid effort, especially for the price. After so many years though, I've seen too many mobile phone battery cases without almost any impact protection, or with cheap/poor design and this is a disappointing thing to see. The saga continues, with poorly designed MagSafe batteries that overheat and need to be disconnected to stop charging.

I stopped using my iPhone as the battery life was rubbish. Then my son needed a phone so we bought this and it’s worked a treat. He’s pleased with his iPhone and it now lasts a few days between charges.

I've owned a few battery covers for my iPhones over the years and this design is the best. Much better than the covers that are two-parts... which always break at the top clips. This is a one-piece cover that is easy to use and looks good. It is thicker than some I've had, which makes it a little bulky and heavy BUT it does mean that the battery is bigger and you can charge your TERRIBLE Apple iPhone battery about 1.5 - 2 times... and it does the job of protecting your phone as well. UPDATE After a month it has stopped working... Amazon were excellent and have made returning it and getting a refund easy... It's a shame, because it really is an excellent product... when it works... FINAL UPDATE I was contacted by the seller, a guy named Jim, who said he'd read my review and offered me a new battery case as a gesture of goodwill and to show that my recent experience with their product was a one off. I was initially very impressed and encouraged with the level of customer care and wanting to put things right... so I accepted the offer and waited patiently for my new phone case... which never came and still hasn't, despite numerous emails from me and no response from them... if they didn't intend to deliver on their offer, why did they bother reaching out to me? So, instead of leaving me with very positive feelings about this company, it's product and it's customer care... I now have very negative feelings. And having read other reviews, my experience of the case not working after a month is not uncommon.

I love the concept of this product but I’ve bought three or four now and they don’t last a year. The latest one didn’t even last 2 months. Time to move on…

Received this item yesterday and have already put it to good use. Fits nicely around my iPhone 8 with a nice smooth texture to the case. It has a button on the back which you press to initiate the charging so you can turn it off and on when you need. I like the fact it has a light too to show you how much charge is left. It charged my phone very quickly as well! Overall highly recommend this product - I have used others in the past but the quality of this one is much better than others.
