Well Thought out and Written
I chose this rating because the book appears to be quite thorough in it's explanations and backgrounds. It also mentions other authors and books throughout so that if interested you can find them. Also some links to Amazon if you need supplies.I didn't see any glaring spelling and grammatical errors which is really nice. Some pictures to give a visual of what some things would look like. The long and the short of it is the book is well done, informative, the writing is captivating and natural.

Great for Beginners
This has great information for learning how to make healthy probiotic drinks. It discusses each drink and the specific health benefits that it provides. It is pretty basic, though, and wouldn't give much additional information to someone who has already started culturing probiotic foods. For example, the section on kefir has basic information that one would usually receive when purchasing kefir grains. It would be helpful for someone who got some extra grains from a friend and had never tried to make it themselves. This book is best suited to someone who is going to be culturing their first batches of probiotic drinks. I found that I used it as a guide when making my first batch of kefir and kombucha, and didn't need to use it after that.

How to make probiotic drinks for a raw food diet.
If you want to get healthy this little book sure explains a lot. I started making Kefir a couple of months ago, thanks to a very generous friend who was kind enough to share her Kefir grains with me. Learning to detox my body and get healthy, not much is more important than getting healthy physically and spiritually. Great buy, full of information in such a small book.

Do not waste your money.
This does not carry very good information. Such as on Kombucha. When you first start it, it looks rather nasty. How this author describes it, is stated that it is bad and must be thrown out. I have read A Lot on Kombucha, and suggest finding a different resource learn the ins and out of things.

Just In Time!
I had made a batch of kombucha (certainly not my first, I'd made it several times in the past) and got this the day I was to test my batch. It was as if my kombucha never took off. It was just week-old sweet tea! I was so disappointed. After reading this guide I learned that the kombucha needs a slightly acidic environment to develop. Well, I had used alkaline water to make that batch so there was no way it was going to develop. Without this book i wouldn't have known that and probably would've thrown my $20 scoby in the compost bin. I tried again, this time using purified water with a mid-range pH level. 12 days later, I have gorgeous kombucha! Now, I am going to try the kefir recipe using coconut milk. This book has inspired me.

Dissappointed in the quality.
I bought this cuz it sounded good but for the price i think it is a poor quality book. Flimsy paper. Great recipes. Not written well. Hard to follow at times. Very pricey for the quality. I might purchase more though because he has great ideas. Just real unhappy with the cost. I expected a hardbound or at least a better quality paper for the money.

Fantastic Ideas
I didn't realize that my kefir grains and kombucha scobies were so versatile! This book encouraged me to finally make something more of a novelty with my kombucha and showed me how to make yummy fizzy drinks that my family loves. I've finally found a way to make hubby give up pop. I encourage everybody to read this book whenever I give them their very own kombucha mother.

Very useful
Very useful introduction to probiotic drinks. I've been using water me for for some time now and still learned a thing or two. The book explains some of the background which I found interesting and suggests recipes which is nice. The second are clearly laid out so you can easily just read the boss you are interested in. If fermentation is brand new to you, learning about the different options available is very useful too.
