Will give you a small omelette but no time soon.
Takes a very very long time to get to temperature 10+ minutes. Is not a quick option for an omelette and can only take a two egg omelette maximum. I could make two to five omelettes in a pan in the time it takes to just heat up and it takes at least 20-25 minutes to cook the mix. Don’t waste your money on this, it’s sub standard and would only be good to warm up toasties if you have 30 minutes to spare for what is supposed to be a quick meal.

Handy gadget for the kitchen
Makes great omelettes and fried eggs. I turn the unit over half way through when doing omelettes. Not had any issues with food sticking or overheating as with some other reviews.

Good but way too small
For clarity, I bought the so-called "large" single omelette maker.Delivery was all good, out of the box there was a small mark in the lower cooking tray, tiny but not a scratch, more of a circular ridge from a bust bubble during manufacture. As I said tiny and hasn't caused any issues using the machine so far.It is very easy to use, just plug it in and wait for the green light to go out, pour your egg mixture in, wait three minutes then start checking until it is done as you like it which may take another minute or two. But...I'm a guy and I brought the omelette maker for myself, previously I made three egg omelettes in a small frying pan, I knew this wouldn't take three eggs but I read it takes two, it didn't. Using two large eggs with only a thin slice of chopped ham and a drop of milk I ended up only able to put just over half the mixture in so had to have what I'd call two baby omelettes. The first was a bit bigger, a little more than half the mixture but it was soon screaming and gushing steam as the omelette rose and I had to release the lock on the handle for fear of damaging to machine. Strangely the same thing happened with the second omelette using less mixture - maybe this is normal? The omelettes themselves were excellent but I suspect now I might have done better to have bought the two tray omelette maker. Maybe if I had used small eggs it might have worked out better but I do not intend buying two sizes of eggs just for this machine and I'm not giving up buying and frying big eggs! Now, if I want an omelette I'll either go back to the frying pan or if I'm not very hungry use one egg and maybe extra filling in the omelette maker. Pity.I have marked it down only because the nick in the non-stick surface but more because of the lack of adequate size thus versitility. Some say they cook scrambled eggs and even poached eggs in the omelette makers! The lid stays up when lifted only allowing the base to be cooked in, this is quit shallow so I imagine stirring scrambled egg would make a lot of mess. As a hot plate the omelette maker could be used for other food but none that I can think of that would not be easier to cook elsewhere.Cleaning after first use was easy, a paper towel got the worst off and a damp cloth did the rest. It did take a bit more effort than I expected but wasn't a problem though could indicate it might get harder with use.All-in-all, I love the omelette maker but wish it was man-size but would recomend it to anyone with a child-size appetite.

Shallow cooking plate
I had a two plate omlette maker which seemed okay with a two egg mixture. As the non-stick on this was wearingI decided too try a single plate thinking it would take two egg mixture. My first attempt was with two eggs which filled the plate to the rim(instructions recommend half fill). The omlette was brown on the outside but liquidy in the centre this after 5 minutes cooking.Next attemt was with one egg it was cooked all the way through but a very flat omlette.Maybe the one egg shoulb a very large one.I think I should have got a newer version of my old two plate version. On the plus side it did a very good fried egg and looks very good
