I chose this butane cooking torch from many other similar products because it has great reviews and it works the regular 8oz butane can (not the Zippo butane cans with long refill tips). I’m very happy with the purchase because it is inexpensive and very easy to use. Very good product.

I bought one for my wife to make it easier for her to light our airtight wood stove. It worked so well that I ordered another one for my shop. Easy to use, easily adjustable flame, inexpensive, reasonably well made, and it puts out some serious heat when needed. The translation of the instructions is hilarious.

This was my second one. I’ve used this for 22 months and it has done great. I have used it with 8 or so cans of butane. Something happened to the tip recently and the flames started curling back towards me. The same thing happened after a year and a half or so of the buying the first one. I’ve discarded the 2nd one and have ordered the third. Before it’s been heavily used, it works great. I don’t like the new cost but I don’t like the new cost of everything

I have a propane torch using 1 lbs can but never feel comfortable using it in the house or patio. This butane torch shipped out fast despite covid delays and i used it immediately for dinner using the same butane cans i use for our indoor shabu-shabu table stove. The level dial is smooth and flame adjuster was accurate. Great product and great vendor. Left a surprise / valuable gift in the package. Thanks UoMay!

It’s a decent product. The Pros: It’s good in that I can just use all the butan bottles I have around the house and I don’t have to break out my professional torch. It’s just the right size for daily use. Cons: It works ok if a little worrisome. The lock has no indication that it’s got a good seal, so I am always unsure if it’s truly locked/sealed and not leaking. The flame it channels has a tendency to drift. Hard to describe, more that it feels like it burns back towards your hand and the bottle. So along with not being sure of seal, I always have to mind the exact angle to minimize that drift.

Bought this back in March 2021 and finally used it this week (June 8). It was easy to use but not very strong, I adjusted the flame but no improvement. I few days later, I noticed a smell of gas in the kitchen. Thought I had a leak in the range. Discovered the blow torch was leaking in the cabinet. This is very dangerous, it could have blown up. Don’t buy this, it’s a piece of junk and could cause you injury or fire.

Not much else to say, other than it works as intended. If you need a torch adapter for compatible butane canisters, this should do the job just fine. I use it with the coleman butane canister (not the green bottles for the camp cookers, but the actual torch butane) and it works just fine. I will say that the flame is not as pinpointed as the indoor cooking torches that you fill directly with butane though. I would say this one is better suited for lighting fires or anywhere you need a lot of quick heat, but not accurate precision. I would not use this to light a cigar and probably wouldn't use to toast food - it has too much oomph for that even on lower settings. The flame on this is pretty powerful and long when you crank up the gas and when the gas is low, it's more of a lighter fire than a torch fire.

Wonderful product to use around the kitchen and outside setting up the coals for the grill. The easy use and control is what was important when choosing this product and very happy with the results when finished and looking forward to other usefulness when getting better control and confidence with the torch. I will no doubt be getting another one for camping.
