My son wanted a costume for Halloween as a WW2 soldier. Pretty close and a good quality that he can use to play with after.

Not for protection, but I knew that when I ordered it. I needed something that resembled a Desert Storm helmet, that's all.

Short of buying an actual combat helmet, this is the most realistic you can get for the money. Sure you can spend more and get a air-soft helmet that is better, but those are too expensive for a kids toy. This helmet may be too big and slightly heavy for my Five year old nephew's boy's head, but I'm not worried, because my little brother actually went out and bought actual surplus army helmets to get the realism, when we were kids, and he could handle it just fine. He was probably only 7 or 8 at the time as well!! This one is lighter than a PASGT helmet of the kind I was issued in the Army, and just as real looking! In fact, I wonder if these were a training helmet from a foreign country and ended up surplus taken over from a toy merchant. I don't think you can get much more realistic than this. I'm not worried about the web suspension lasting inside, a guy could just glue some foam plastic stand off pieces if the net gives out. It would be easy to fix.

This helmet is surprisingly really comfortable and is exactly what the product is described to be!!

My 9 year old wanted military items for his birthday. This hat was a perfect choice. It fits nicely and would fit an adult as well. It has webbing inside that is adjustable. It looks very realistic and is great for dress up, halloween, or paintball. One part that was not a hit are the little metal tabs that are on elastic connected to the outer cover. They look like they are supposed to attach to the webbing inside, but won't stretch that far. I didn't notice until now, but you can actually see them hanging down in this photo. There are several of them hanging around the helmet and my son got really upset about them and said they were hurting him. I tried attaching them and couldn't, so I just cut them off and the cover seems to stay in place just fine. I had to give it a 3 stars because of those. They could have made the elastic a little longer so they were functional or left them off entirely.

Got these for 4 grandsons. They love them and even choose to pack them over other toys and games for trips. Their imaginations run wild!

Bought this for my 13 year old son and he loved it! Fits perfectly and the straps inside are adjustable. The only downside was shipping, item is shipped through USPS and my package was opened upon delivery. Thankfully they did not deem it worthy of taking
