Camera Lens Replacement for Samsung Galaxy S5

Took 13 days to get here, but was a perfect fit and very easy to replace, only tool I used was a flat head that you would use on eye glasses and small electronics. I discovered something cool too while i was replacing it, the lens inside actually moves back and forth to focus. For all those people having problems w/ focusing/poor image quality, turn the phone off, so the lens isn't trying to focus, use some canned air, blow all the debris around the camera out, use a Q-Tip, dip 1 side in rubbing alcohol, clean the lens w/ wet side first then polish w/ the dry side, slap this little replacement kit back on it and it'll be good as new. You seriously can't tell I replaced glass at all...

Exactly what I was looking for. The glass on my Galaxy S5 camera lens was cracked and this was a great replacement. Came with everything that was needed to replace the lens without much of an issue. I had to look up a video on YouTube to know how to install the lens. But overall a great product. Still in great shape today. I do believe that the lens that I replaced it with is not glass like the original lens. It felt more like plastic. Although I did not bend it to test whether that was true or not. Regardless it has not affected picture quality on the S5 after the new lens was installed.

Description said silver, but that isn't the color I received. Also prevented my camera from focusing due to the fogginess of the lens.I followed the instructions to the letter, so I can only assume that it is because the lens is plastic, not glass. (I know this because I was able to bend it in half like a credit card after I removed it. Pretty sure glass won't do that.)The camera in the S5 is so sensitive that if the lens isn't absolutely clean and clear, it won't be able to focus. Plastic is simply not as clean and clear as glass.But...it is cheaper.

Lens and surrounding are good quality. It feels like glass and I believe it is. No problems with the camera focusing properly. Installation was easy with help from the YouTube video by JerryRigEverything. With the exception of the adhesive. The chrome surround has the adhesive already applied. The glass lens itself does not have adhesive on it and the adhesive is stuck between backing paper and the brown backing paper seen in the photo. Backings did not want to separate from the adhesive cleanly and took some time to get it done properly. This was the only problem and I would buy it again if I crack my camera lens again.

Definitely was plastic and not glass but seems to work. I saw others post that their camera no longer focuses. Mine won't either but I don't think it's related to the lens. I tried removing the glass lens entirely and it wouldn't focus before I replaced it. I think the camera was damaged when the lens broke.

I received the product in the mail with absolutely no instructions, which would usually be ok, especially since I work on computers for a living. Just to make sure I didn't mess anything up, I watched a youtube video on how to replace the lens. Everything was ok except for the adhesive strip. Once I removed the paper, it seemed to be one sided and not very sticky at all. After attempting to work with it (big fingers on a very small piece of adhesive), it tore, making it completely unusable. I placed the glass on the phone, and placed the lens cover on top. It sealed fine, but now the phone will not focus. I have looked under it and there seems to be nothing obstructing it to keep it from focusing. Looks like I will be trying to find another repair kit that may have some instructions this time.

Mine is clear, I don't know why some are having issues. My camera glass was completely spider cracked as a result of dropping it flat on the sidewalk. I made sure to check the clarity of the camera lens before going forward and there was no damage to it. I completed the replacement in about 5 minutes, a good set of tweezers helps too.

There are no instructions provided, but prior to ordering I found some videos on Youtube that I watched. I used a small tweezers with a very sharp edge and a utility knife during the process to lift off the old frame and clean up the phone. Most of the time was spent cleaning off the old broken glass and glue. Seriously, why did they design the camera cover this way?This replacement part fit on the phone very well and everything appears to have adhered well as I have had it on my phone over a month with no issues.
