Elixir 12 Volt Rv Trailer Smoke 14" Roof Vent

this unit went in as a new install not a replacement and installed quickly and easily. Thanks to the other reviews I already ordered my butyl tape and had the screws i wanted to use so when it arrived i was ready to go. I installed mine on a 14 foot wedge front cargo trailer and struggled with where to install. I placed it closer to front of unit but a couple of feet off center. The trailer isn't near as thick as the inner trim piece so i constructed a wooden frame to finish out the inside and give the screws from the top more to hold onto. I can still use the ring if i cut it down but haven't done that yet. I installed this with 4 of the smaller side vents and what a difference it makes. would recommend to anyone. Not a real strong steel construction but seems like it could take some abuse and still be good. I couldn't see from any of the reviews if it would let light in or not so i was especially thrilled that it does brighten it up and on those hot days yields the sun from blaring through.
