Bionaire BEF6500-UM Electric Fireplace Heater with Remote

This Fireplace Heater is AWESOME! Heats medium, enclosed porch on cement slab used as my office with no problem whatsoever. Also contributes to attached Rec Room. Looks awesome and works better than expected.

I bought this fireplace to keep the room warm when heater is off or we run out of diesel (like today).Installation was not problematic. Remote works fine (you have to hit the target though) and the fire simulation is quite good.I give four stars because there are two features I don't like about electric heaters in GENERAL: I) The heat is blown vertical, which I don't understand why. It would be more efficient if blown to the front. ii) it is a little noisy, but I don't think that noisier than the rest.Design is a plus with this one. It is quite modern in comparison of the current designs in the market.

Flame effect, (which was the whole reason I got this product) failed after 2 minutes of use!!! This thing is now useless to me. Impossible to return or exchange it becuase packaging is so involved, it’s impossible to repack it. Also it’s a huge box. Very disappointed.

Nice fireplace. The heater works great and it looks awesome in front of our wood burning fireplace. Came really fast too.

Don't buy this if you want to heat anything. However for ambiance and a little heat it's awesome. The flames look very real. The problem is that the heat comes out the top and as we all learned in school, hot air rises so that means that all the heat goes up to the ceiling. I can sit next to it and still not feel the heat coming out. My fault for not checking before I bought. Will purchase something else with the heat coming from the bottom and use this for ambiance in a different room.

Good product, working as needed!

Loved it.. Especially the curved glass..makes it look a lot more fancy than just square and flat.

It is just the greatest however they should make a new remote available if needed. Had to buy a new complete fireplace just to get a new remote.
