Readers Digest Subscription Gift Pack ( 12 issues)

I bought this as a gift for someone and they love it. It arrived on time and they have had no problems with the subscription.

Bought this Readers Digest Sub as a christmas present for my mum. Being elderly, she for got where she had put the letter containing the voucher. She thought she had thrown it away! she found it in the corner of a drawer after a few weeks and now gets the digest each month. Hope their going broke won't affect this! Good Value. Paul G

Despite the reviews for this product I went ahead and purchased this for my 89 year old grandmother after checking that the company was out of trouble and operating properly again. After four months of my grandmother checking her doormat every morning she still has not received a copy of the magazine and all telephone complaints we have made have gone to a call centre in India without anything being resolved. Very distressing for her and very embarassing for me.

Great service and a great price from Amazon. Unfortunately when the reply card was sent on to Readers Digest they seem to have lost it and to date we have received no copies of the magazine. Disappointing, as this was supposed to be a Christmas present.

My Dad is very happy with the magazine however problems with delivery and although ordered for Xmas he did not receive first magazine until February.

I bought this subscription as a gift. We received the initial "welcome pack" and were told the first issue would arrive in 4-6 weeks. Nothing arrived and we eventually phoned a helpline. We were told that Readers Digest have gone into administration and didn't have to send us anything!! Fair enough - credit crunch etc but we get no refund from anyone plus Amazon are still selling it on their website! DON'T BUY IT - YOU WONT RECEIVE IT.

I have just had total hassle from this order. I ordered it back in August, nothing appeared at first, contacted Amazon and my grandma finally got a 'welcome card' - she's still recieved no magazine. Reader's Digest asked her for my address and my 'ten digit reference number' - something I've never recieved Please don't buy this - especially if you're thinking about for Christmas - it's a nightmare!

I bought this gift subscription as a birthday present for my mum and it's the worst present I have ever bought. So far she has only received 3 out of 7 of the magazines she should have, and she is constantly bombarded with extremely rude letters from the company claiming that she hasn't paid and owes them money for the subscription. Having both rung and emailed countless times, she is still receiving rude letters in red, and every time she calls to sort it out it seems that the company simply cannot understand that although it was me who bought the subscription, it was in fact a gift for her, therefore she doesn't owe them any money and the subscription was paid for in full last june. This gift pack is organised so badly and I wish I'd never bought it, the aggravation and rudeness from the organisers towards my mum is ridiculous and the amount of time she has wasted explaining that it was a gift for her from me is absolutely outrageous. I would not recommend anyone buying this subscription, and I would urge anyone considering it not to bother.
