The dolls cannot be removed from the book individually. You can tear out the page. Each page has three dolls and a setting.

Q: i am looking to mail this to someone...how big and how heavy is it

Actually, it's cheaper to mail directly to them. It's quite large--not real heavy but not sense in paying shipping twice. If your have other things to go with it--you could put them together. I have purchased 6 versions of these now and all of the kids love them.

Q: does this come wrapped in plastic?

We believe that it was sealed in plastic.
