I have found it difficult to find the size tanks I need with a lid. I need a lid as I have cats. This is a kit but I only used some of it. I have found included filtration systems are usually terrible and I wanted to use a sponge filter. This tank worked great as I was able to pick and choose what I wanted to use. The filter is fully removable. I was able to detach the light from the filter and place it on the tank independently. The lid fits very snug so while cords fit for the heater and sponge filter it is a bit tight. The hooks that come with it to hold the lid are terrible. They set loosely onto the tank wall itself and then you place the lid resting on the clips. It is super easy for the hooks to move and drop the lid into the tank if your not super careful. I solved that by buying the hooks that clip right to the lid and now there are no issues with stability. There is a cut out in the corner of the lid to allow you to grasp the lid but it is big enough that a snail can crawl out or determined fish could jump out so just be aware of that. Overall I'm fairly happy with this tank so far. I am still cycling the tank and it's in it's growing algea faze. 🤣

Pump failed after 25 days

Love it but it needs a guard on it because it sucks my beta fish toward the filter. I had to change out my tank and get a shrimp guard on it.

I should have listened to the advice of another consumer… filter is MUCH to powerful for this tank size!Fish will stress trying to swim against the strong water movement!I bought this as an isolation tank but only useable with removal of the filter!Going in the trash…

Do not buy! Pump filter too powerful for fish. Waste of money!
