Our bunny loves it!
My husband said it took him 10-15 min to assemble and was easy. The hutch is spacious for our little white bunny and she seems to love her new home. She goes back in it on her own after she’s done exploring around the house. We had the little bridge attached that it came with but realized she didn’t need it since she could hop to the second floor all by herself, so I removed it. Love how the top and side open with a simple latch and that the gray can be removed from the bottom to clean. It’s easy and functional so far and glad I purchased it.

Good quality, but not large enough for a rabbit full time!
The media could not be loaded. This is a great rabbit hutch— with a few modifications!! This is obviously too small to keep any rabbit in full time, so I just leave the hatch open and added a play pen to give my rabbit more space when we’re not home, then allow him free range to come and go as he pleases when I am home. My rabbit is litter trained so cleaning is fairly easy (I just put the litter box in the little hideaway area)! When I deep clean his cage, the slide out floor is super easy to use though. The side bars are also nice because you can attach toys or treats to them! Assembly does take quite a bit of time, though. Please just do not buy this if you are planning on keeping your rabbit in just this small area for their whole lives, it’s not large enough for that! My rabbit is a lion mane dwarf and when he lays down he takes up half of the area.

Great cage, but chewable
I use this for my guinea pig. He was given to us after living more than a year by himself, so we don't have a pig friend for him. He is a skinnypig, and lives in our home where he can be around us most of the day and we wanted to have a pretty cage. It's lovely, and the maintenance is easy. His urine left some stains, so I used double sided tape to put some plastic drawer liners down. He chews the wood when I don't give him his veggies fast enough, and we use bitter lemon spray to deter that. During the day, I use the cube grid book shelf pieces to make him a bigger play area. He seems very happy in it!

So much cuter than a wire cage and the babies love it
Likes.. almost everything! Love the look of this wood crate compared with the wire ones. I guess you would say more of an upscale cage. We use this for our guinea pigs. I had been looking for a while to find a “cuter” cage for them. We have them in our living room and I was just not happy with how a wire cage looked. We had been using the Midwest Guinea Habitat. Had no problems with it. But it just took up so much space and just didn’t look that great. This cage is not small by any means. There are two levels. Which our guineas enjoy. They don’t always get along. So they like their separate space. Everything is wood except the bottom of the cage. It is metal. The bottom pulls out so I can clean it out. I just put a puppy pee pad down and then some paper shreds. So no wire bottom to hurt their feet. The tray that you can pull out is about an inch deep. So it keeps all the mess in. And the side of the cage has a, maybe three inch, wooden piece that keeps all the paper and mess from getting thrown out of the cage when they start running around. My only dislike is the wooden “doorway” that goes to the lower section. I’m not sure what else to call it. It has a small cut out for them to run in and out of and gives them a little more privacy. I actually finally just removed it. I think it was just cut too small and kept falling down. But they really don’t need. This piece did have the hooks for the ramp to connect to. So I just took the hooks out and put them into the side of the top shelf and it works just fine. So all in all I love it and they love it so everyone is happy.

Hard to deodorize
I’ve had this over a year now, and although I like the look I’m going back to a plastic cage for my rabbit. She is litter box trained, but no bunny is perfect and and when she does have a urine accident it is impossible to get the smell out completely from the bottom. The hutch has a metal floor tray that has wood surround and liquid seeps right into the wood and smell seems trapped. I’ve tried enzyme spray, which helps a little, but cannot stand pet odor at all so back to plastic for me. I also am uncomfortable with her chewing on the hutch, but she has done very little of that. Assembly was easy, it’s a sturdy and attractive hutch that my bun absolutely loves. Sorry it’s not working for the long term. A plastic bottom tray with sides would make a huge difference.

CHEAP PLYWOOD!! GUINEA PIGS CHEW NON-STOP!
I wanted to love this cage, but the moment I put my Piggies in it, I started having problems. The cage is made of the cheapest, softest plywood—basically the kind of wood used to make Piggy chew toys—and my Piggies chew on it… NON-STOP!!!MORNING, NOON, AND NIGHT… THEY ARE CONSTANTLY CHEWING ON IT!!I’ve had my Piggies over a year, and have never had a problem. The ONLY reason I needed a new cage, was because I had to move them to a different area, and the cage was too big.I had high hopes for this cage, because of all the 5-stars.But… darn it! They LIED!!!These Piggies haven’t stopped chewing this piece of garbage… and I’m SO WORRIED about their teeth!!!!!And this chewing is SO LOUD I can hear it across the house!!!Not only that, but because the wood is so soft and cheap, if you don’t protect it with pee pads, the wood will soak up their urine and warp the heck out of it!!I’ve only been using this cage for a month, and I clean it every two-three days. But no matter how much I clean it… it STINKS!!! Because the wood absorbs the urine like a sponge!!!I don’t know what kind of animals are being kept in the cages that have 5-stars… but PLEASE!!! Don’t listen to them!!!I wish I hadn’t listened… damn it!!!Now, I have to buy another cage… one that doesn’t absorb the pee, or entices my piggies to chew the hell out of it.THIS CAGE DOES NOT DESERVE A RATING HIGHER THAN ONE-STAR!!I promise you… I’M TRYING TO HELP YOU!!!! AND TO SAVE YOU MONEY!!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
