Excellent tactical pants for outdoor and casual wear! Highly recommended!
Let me begin by explaining why tactical pants are so important to my daily routine.I am not new to this kind of pants. I have been wearing military tactical pants to work for the past decade. You see, I work in a warehouse setting where I deal with all sorts of rolling equipment that have edges that can easily rip through clothing. It is very important that I come to work dressed in pants that can withstand tears. To date, I have been wearing military BDU pants. These are probably the most well-built pants that one can buy. After all, they are used by military soldiers. There is a website dedicated to the sale of BDU wear and I have been dealing with them for years.I happened to come across these pair of tactical pants from Hard Land and thought that I would give them a try. It was a blind purchase, as at the time of this writing, there are no Amazon reviews. I am proud to be the first to put these pants to the test.I bought this pants in navy blue. At the time of ordering, there was only navy blue and green selections available. I do hope there will be more colors available in the future. Black would have been my choice. The pants arrived within two days with Prime shipping. They arrived well packaged.Taking the pants out of the package, I could immediately sense that this was well-constructed. The fabric had a heavy feel to it, with a good amount of stitching. Upon slipping my legs into the pants and pulling it up to my waist, I was pleased to find that it fit perfectly. No excessive bagginess to be had and it hugged my rear very nicely. Most importantly, though the fabric is tough (65% Polyester and 35% cotton rip-stop), the pants didn't feel too heavy. In fact, they felt as light as the many BDU pants that I have been used to wearing over the years.Because I knew I wanted to do a review on these pants, I took the liberty of walking around the house and doing some bending to see how flexible these tactical pants were. There was a lot of leeway in the fabric allowing full movement without any restriction. The only sizing issue that I had was the fact that being a short guy, my inseam is 29. These pants start with an inseam of 30. The legs were very long, but I am taking it to a tailor later today to get it taken in.These pants have pockets all over the place. There are standard pockets for throwing your keys or wallet into. There are extremely deep velcro enclosed side pockets further down that fit my large iPhone 7S Plus perfectly. There are velcro enclosed back pockets as well. The description of these pants indicates 14 pockets in all. That may indeed be the case -- I would not doubt the manufacturer's description. I just haven't found them all yet. I can say that there is a multitude of storage pockets in various sizes and some pockets have slits in them with additional pockets. So, these pants are designed to store and carry quite a bit of personal gear.Additionally, two things I am happy to see here is a solid keychain holder on the front loop of the pants, and, large enough waist loops to handle a military type belt. Let me also point out that the front zipper is well constructed and the fastening button at the waist has ample stitching behind it.As someone who has been wearing tactical/BDU pants for years, I want to point out to those of you who may be unfamiliar with them that these can be worn for any occasion. The great thing about these type of pants is that while they are made for aggressive outdoor activities, they also make for great casual wear. I have walked into restaurants wearing these pants with a nice polo shirt. When I am hanging out with friends, these are the most comfortable types of pants to lounge around in. They have so much more "give" than normal jeans that despite the heavy fabric, you tend to think you are not wearing anything at all.If there is anything negative to say about these pants is that are priced a bit high. Most BDU pants can be had for between $25-$30. Personally, after trying on the product and seeing that it had more pockets than my normal BDU wear (plus the keychain holder), I didn't quite mind paying more. I like these pants so much that I plan on buying more, but I am going to wait for a sale. So, from someone very familiar with this kind of pants, let me be the first to say that these live up to what one should expect from tactical wear. These pants look great. They fit great. There is lots of flexibility once inside them. They are made to withstand the rain. As perfect as they can be for outdoor use, I think many of you will find that they also make for the most comfortable casual wear pants --- far better than jeans.I have no major issues with these pants. I would highly recommend them! These really are top-notch in construction. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Great , practical
This pants is great value for the price, with good quality and workmanship. The sizing is accurate—I'm 183 cm, 68 kg, and 32x32 fits me well. The elastic material is a plus, and the small pocket near the waistband is very practical for small items. The pant legs were a bit wide for me, so I had them tapered from the knee down, reducing the leg opening by about 1 inch. Now they fit perfectly.

Great pants - but sizing has changed. Check your sizing.
Good pants, good material and nice deep pockets. Sizing changed since the last pants I bought. The old waist size was actual, but now a 36" inch waist is almost a 38" waist - so be careful.I had to return 2 pairs of pants because of the sizing change.Happy otherwise.

To many pockets but great pants.
Love almost everything about these. The problem with similar pants like this is the cut of the crotch. These are made to move in. I lose stuff in the pockets though. You won’t lose anything from your pockets because they have Velcro and zippers. They don’t stretch. The built in liquid repellency is nice.

By FAR the best BDU / tactical pants I have ever owned...
I spent 11 1/2 years in an occupation where I had a professional need for BDU / tactical pants and this brand is by far the best.A few of my favorite features are:1. The fit is fantastic. They are not baggy yet you have a lot of flexibility.2. The fabric is thick but not hot. Very well made and very durable.3. The pocket placement and number of pockets is amazing and intuitive. I am impressed with they way they are setup and the access to any given pocket is ergonomic. Also. the pocket are secure so you don't have to worry about losing items.4. Pockets are stitched inside the main pant body as opposed to being stuck on the exterior of the pant therefore making them less prone to ripping.I wish I had discovered this brand long ago. If you are considering a tactical pant I would highly recommend them. They look great, fit great and are perfect for casual use, professional use such as law enforcement, military, paramedic and so on, hiking, hunting and more. I even wear them when doing work around the house. They are so comfortable and they are of very high quality. Additionally they look good enough to wear in a casual office environment as opposed to something like dockers. I would not feel out of place wearing them in an office setting - they a tactical design but subtle and very clean design. You can not go wrong with this brand. I will be buying many more pairs.

Nice design, not waterproof!
I got these for hunting and hiking. Rated the Hardland pants a 3. The seller needs to say it repels water. It is not water proof. It does not breathe. On a 5mile hike late August in Pittsburgh, PA area (medium humidity region) sweat could not escape, caused a lot of chaffing to inner thigh. It is a 65%nylon/35%cotton blend. The Hardland pant will dry quicker than cotton pants in the right climate. It will not get heavy like cotton pant in a wet environment. The nylon does absorb water. Pants material are a little lighter than a rugged work jeans. The fabric seems like it will be very durable. Could not verifiy being wind proof.I ordered a 38waist 32 Inseam, fit more like a 35waist 30’inseam.Overall pocket design is great. Depend on activity, you may not be able to us all of them. Example; the two clips pocket, anything in these during a walk or bending over causes the item to gouge or block full movement. Cargo pocket have internal compartment, plus side. I think full comfort is based on your body style. If you don’t like it return them.I gave the Hardland a 3 because I would order again. Depending on the activity maybe 2 sizes larger for layering (using these as the outer layer) or exchange them until I got a size that fit. I read the other reviews before purchasing and knew the $40 Handland would Not be truely waterproof or the price would be 3-4 times what I paid.Hope my opinion helps.Update: After first wash, Button fell off and Material shank.
