Wash your hands well and get real dry. Swipe each nail with acetone to get all and any oils off. Use a good clear base coat. Then use a white polish before putting on the color. Then one coat of the color. Let each coat air dry, or use a cool setting hair dryer. When you are all done, use a spray on nail polish dryer. (They sell them here also) Seems like when your hands are wet they chip worse. Wear well fitting surgical gloves when doing cleaning jobs.. Yea, it's a pain but worth it. Also, I find that pure acetone does a better job at removing the polish vs plain nail polish remover and you can get it right here for a large bottle at $3 I've been a cosmetologist for 55 years and wear nail polish and it always chips. Don't matter who makes them. I even use OPI or Artistic Nails Polish (Salon quality) I tried Gel Polish and that was a nightmare to remove. Yea, this takes time but it will hold some better. Gel polish will last a few weeks but you can damage your nails trying to get it off that's why you don't want to use it only now and then. I'd rather use nail polish that chips and easy to remove.
