Perfect size
I normally buy Lidl ones but none available when I needed to replace my old one. Best part is the lid comes off for cleaning. Makes it so much easier.

Good but not quite perfect
I previously had a 1 litre circular fryer which heated up very quickly as it was smaller than this one but the basket handle was metal which got hot during cooking, requiring a cloth to hold it, & also had no means of draining the oil when the food was cooked. This has a rugged plastic handle & a hook allowing the food to drain, much better. It states it holds 1 & half litres of oil but in fact to fill to the max line it's a bit more. It does take around 10mins to heat to 190° but oddly it cooks more quickly than my previous one, approx. 4 to 5 mins max for frozen chips. The viewing window does mist up a bit but don't they all! Now to the down side which stops it from being perfect. Unlike the plastic fryers the metal body gets very hot, as the yellow warning label stuck to it advises, so you must use the plastic handles to move it until it has cooled down. The lid has a small lip to be able to lift it, changed, as a previous reviewer noted, from a release button on the front, presumably to keep the cost down. The lip should be bigger so, once your food is cooked, you need to be very careful when lifting the lid to avoid the escaping steam. Also when lowering the basket into the hot oil with frozen chips leave for a few seconds before closing the lid as the oil spits a bit. Other than that it's a great little fryer.

Brilliant size
The size is larger than my current one. I'm delighted with that. It's very easy to work well worth the money

bad new design
I purchased this a couple of months ago as this was pictured as identical to my previous one purchased from Aldi. but when it arrived - although basically the same fryer - it was an updated design (not as pictured by Geepas). I decided to keep it and used it three times but didn't feel comfortable using it. My Aldi one had a small knob which you can see on the front of the advertised one, which sprang the lid open without needing to touch it, so quite safe; the updated design I received just has a lip at the side of the lid to lift it open, which means you need toremember to use an oven glove when opening as your hand is above the boiling steam. The second problem is that the lid is not securely fixed so it was inclined to wobble off when opened. (my previous one had a particular procedure to remove the lid, which meant it stayed securely on whilst in use). I really thought it would be the original design as pictured, so this is in breach of trading standards surely? I've had a few deep fryers in my time, and this is the only one I've not felt comfortable/safe using. It's too late to send it back now so have had to just bin it. If it wasn't for those two issues I would have been happy with it, although I suspect the thermostat was a bit on the low side as the chips took longer to cook even on maximum heat.
