Q: Hi, i really love what the beard softener can do but do i need to buy the beard oil as well since i think the softener does what the oil should do?

Both the oil and the cream soften the beard hair. The goal is the same - the texture and ingredients are different. Your choice. I prefer cream or butter than oil. Optional use both but is not necessary. The cream gives some shape compared to the oil.

You leave it in, and style your beard accordingly.

I am a black man, the grandson of both grandmothers who were beauticians. It has proven a superb product. Be sure to rub into the beard to get both sides of the hair shaft, that way the hair will not stiffen like a needle causing unwanted hair bumps. I highly recommend this product as good for any face with beard.
