Don't start out with cheaper, less substantial pewter wares. They just aren't worth the trouble. Go first class -- it's less expensive in the long run.I've used Aremtale for 20 years. It does an excellent job. The tables always have a classy look because the trays are so pretty. Regular cleaning and keeping it out of the dishwasher will make it last a long time.Remember: It can be used at room temperature, from the fridge...or the freezer ... and even from the Oven. Food stays cool or hot depending on how the tray is prepared.

I could not be happier with the quality and looks of this tray. I gave two for gifts and I wish I would have ordered one for myself. The friends I purchased them for were so happy to receive them. I was looking for a silver tray. This one was used, as the new were expensive. However, it does look used. Apparently these products can be used in the oven, which may accound for the high price. It is nonetheless an attracive tray. Would have liked it bigger.

I like the size of the tray, I thought it would be much heavier weight wise than being very lightweight. I thought all Wilton Armetale platters were very heavy, I’m hoping it’s the real deal.

I ordered this tray for a wedding gift. I was pleasantly surprised at the fast shipping from The Bowl Company. However, when I opened the item, I noticed an obvious flaw on the tray. Also, there appears to be swirl marks on the tray giving it a dull appearance, unlike all of the other Wilton pieces in my collection. It appears to be of "B" or "C" grade stock or possibly a previous return. I contacted the seller and they offered a replacement/refund after I ship the tray back. Since I will not be able to receive in time for the wedding, I'm out double shipping costs - for nothing. Save yourself time and effort and only buy Wilton from a real retailer.

There was a very big scratch on the platter. sent it back hope the next one is perfect!!

I own several Wilton Armetale platters. Absolutely love them and use them several ways. Great to put into the oven to keep grilled items warm. Use as a platter for cheese or salads, keep in the refrigerator until ready to eat. I also defrost meat on top of the platters.

Beautiful but sturdy, and reasonable in price. Had it engraved locally as a gift and it came out gorgeous. Highly recommended as a gift for a wedding or retirement.
