Q: Does this pad get hot or just warm?

the pad heats up to 1-2 degrees of temperature above what you set the temperature at and then maintains the heat at the temperature you have set for the time duration that you have set it for. once it has reached the duration of time it will switch off and cool down. the cool down takes several minutes. It is hot if you set it at a high temperature and it is warm if you set it at a lower temperature.

Q: My pad is stuck on a low temperature and i cant find manual?

There is a lock key on panel. It toggles between lock and unlock. You can only change settings when lock symbol shows unlocked. Be sure to relock after setting. It is safety feature.

Q: How long can you use before you damage it?

I had to send it back twice in very short periods and gave up on it. I use heating pads daily. These are the two that have FINALLY lasted me a long time. The second one is the one I use the most.
