Griot's Garage 11263 3" Wax Pads (Set of 3), Red

I'm a big fan of Griot's Garage products and use them exclusively for every aspect of my personal auto detailing inside and out. These wax pads are very convenient for smaller areas that a larger pad and polisher can't readily get into without risking damage or a bigger mess. I alway use their pad cleaner and let these dry fully before storing them in their bag again. However, I have noticed that these will disintegrate after a year or two when stored in a typical uninsulated garage which can get rather hot in the summer months. They may not show it until you install them on the polisher and they blow apart in short order. I've moved toward sealers and other paint protection products where Griot's recommends their black pads instead of red. Great pads for real wax, but durability is not overly long regardless of careful care.

Well known brand with excellent products on all categories. But most of them a bit overpriced. Yet thus supplier has them At reduced price and with a good customer service.

Have used Griot’s full size pads several times on my other vehicles.Picked up used Corvette with which has a lot of sharper angles and not a lot of large, flat areas.Used the 3” pad which worked wonders in tight places. So happy with the results.Will note that I had to turn down the buffers speed as this pad tends to distort more than the full size. Not a problem, just an adjustment to make. Also, since smaller, less build up of wax compared to full sizeWill see how well they hold up

Was going to buy the “cheaper ones” glad I went with these instead! DEFINATELY durable, and achieved the finish I was looking for!

Would be perfect if you could use the waxing pad more than once. I use Zaino wax. I hand washed in warm water, let dry, and months later went to wax the car again. Started waxing like before and suddenly the pad shot off mid-wax. I turned the orbital off as soon as possible and held it off my paint. Luckily, I don't see any scratches. I immediately recognized that the loop/hook backing was still on the orbital and the red pad was several feet away on the floor. I was on the lowest speed for the orbital. I was not pushing hard at all, I'm a woman and was already tired since I was on the last panel of the truck I was waxing. The product was simply poorly made. It can't be too difficult to find a better way of attaching the loop/hook and the pad. These products are not advertised as one time use or disposable. I feel I should be able to use them at least a full season, especially when following proper care instructions. I have 2 packs of 3 each waxing pads and all but the 1 still unused have the loop/hook backing pulling away, except for the 1 that I had to throw away because it ripped off completely in the scenario above.

WORKS GREAT FOR WAX. I WOULDN'T USE FOR POLISH OR SEALANT. A LITTLE HARD ON CLEAN UP BUT I WAS ABLE TO CLEAN USING HOT WATER AND DAWN SOAP. DO NOT USE DAWN ON CAR.THIS WILL BE MY GOTO PAD FOR WAXING FROM NOW ON.CAN'T SPEAK TO DURABILITY YET, I'VE ONLY HAD THEM TWO WEEKS.

I bought these pads to get in the tighter areas that my 6" pads with my Griot's DA polisher don't reach very well. I have use these pads to apply wax, paint sealant, and glass sealant by hand. Reading other reviews about the back pealing off, I am very careful not to over saturate the pads. I am also gentle when cleaning them. I think these pads are overpriced for what you get, but they attach nicely on the velcro handle that Griot also makes.

I like these pads. I use them along with a 3" backing plate on my 6"Griot's dual action polisher. I prefer to use Griot's polishing and waxing pads due to their consistent quality. Applying wax or polishing with cheap pads makes little sense to me, so I don't mind paying a bit more for the Griot's pads. They also clean up very will and will last through numerous uses.

It works great but it absorbs a ton of wax

The best thing aboutthese Griot's pads is that tey are labelled as to their use...the red pads are for waxing.
