Read The Infernal Devices they said. You will enjoy it they said. Hmm, did it live upto the hype? It absolutely did. I DEVOURED this book!!The book is set in Victorian London and the setting is adequately described. Not once did I feel there was too much of info dump or too less of it. The writing style was exceptional and way better than that of TMI. I feel that the author has come a long way and has definitely evolved. So if you are not a big fan of TMI, give this one a try!The plot is interesting and engaging. Yes, the romance is said to play its part and this series has some famous pairs but it didn't overpower the main plot going or was forced. It felt natural and I feel that the author let it evolve naturally. There are some twists and turns but overall I feel that it was well written.One thing that makes me adore this is that it makes you ask a lot of questions from page one. Are they answered? yes. Do more come up? Also yes. I enjoy when there is something about the book that makes you look forward to reading it and the next book that there is. There were these mysteries in Clockwork Angel that kept me guessing and hooked. It ends with a cliffhanger and left me with questions that make me want to read the next book at this very moment.I feel that the thing about Cassandra Clare's books is that the plot might not be that great but the characters are brilliant. Whatever shortage there might be in the story, the characters make up for it. All of the characters are unique and have distinct personalities and opinions.I loved Will, he makes me want to strangle and marry him at the same time, exactly my type. Tessa and Jem were very easily likeable and straight on amazing. I appreciated that all the characters contributed to the story and played a significant role. And i am also hoping for character development for some of them in the upcoming books. So if you are looking for characters that would leave an imprint on you with an exciting plot, do pick this up!

My excitement was a bit damped due to the fragile handling of the book. AMAZON PLEASE TAKE NOTE. HANDLE BOOKS WITH CARE. Some pages are weirdly crinkled and there's a dent in the spine,it irks me. Anyway,can't wait to dive into the Shadow hunter's world!😩🤍

The prequel series of Cassandra Clare's Mortal instruments is as awesome as ever. The Clockwork Angel is an amazing first installment to the Infernal Devices.Set in Victorian London, when Tessa gets a letter from her brother from London after her aunt dies, she travells to England only to find the mysterious Dark sisters who tell her that her brother had sent them to recieve her.This book has it all, drama, adventure and romance. I literally love all of the characters. The Handsome but annoying William Herondale aka Will, the kind James aka Jem and of course the bookworm(like you and me) Theresa Gray aka Tessa, the pretty Jessamine and the the cute pair Charlotte and Henry Branwell.I honestly don't enjoy victorian era time pieces but this one hooked me from the start. It kinda reminds me of Raven Cycle, everyone's so close yet all have secrets. I love it so far and I know the rest of the series will be just as good if not better, & this is coming from a 12 year old.Even if you didn't quite enjoy The Mortal Instruments, you should definitely give this book a try. I can't choose between them! Each of them is fabulous and precious in their own way!The plot twists, the subplots- they'll all make you laugh, cry, Fangirl and I guarantee you this- THIS BOOK WILL MAKE YOU EXPERIENCE LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP as if you'd never experienced them before!That is why, I give this book (and it's successors) 5/5 ❤️

The narration just made me sever ties with reality. The real question is why didn’t I pick this book before? Guess I’m too late for the party. Better late than never. Loved every chapter and each character has their own unique personality! Truly spellbound by the world of the nephilim. I can’t wait to start the next one!
