Yes, the No. BK92 Pocket Pens contain a pressurized metal cartridge in them that is designed to not explode in hot conditions and it will also allow you to use it in cold temperatures as well, down to -30F without freezing. Thank you for your question!

I use it on regular paper in a Field Notes pocket notebook with no problem. I bought it for the pocket size. It seems to write like a normal ball point pen.

Hi Ray, thank you for your question. We currently don't carry refills for the pocket pens unfortunately. If you're looking for a refillable option, we do carry a Metal Bullet Pen that's around the same size that uses our All-Weather Pressurized Cartridges. Manufacturer update 12/23/20: After a redesign of the pocket pens, we currently don't offer refills. The refills available on Pokka's website will not fit this style of pen.
