Q: Q: can i plant it now in south carolina? do i need to dig small holes to lay these down in the ground

I recently purchased a tray of zorsia grass plugs for my lawn in Central Alabama. These plugs are individually grown and had an incredible root structure, with lush green blades. The roots are approximately 2" by 2". I used a round plugger that makes an exact 2" hole, so the plugs exactly fit. After 1 month and horrible heat and drought, i have not lost any of the plugs. Follow the instructions on watering. Zenith is a broader bladed zorsia, very different from Emerald, but similar to Z51 or St Augustine.

Q: What type of zoysia is this? is it meyer?

The description now (March 2023) states it’s Japonica.

Q: what size is each plug ?

You can purchase two different sizes 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 or a 3x3 plug . I recommend the 3x3 pkugs
