Yes, but I believe alone it the cost is around $200. Easier to just get the upgrade.

What are the sonic differences between the ortofon 2m blue and the nagaoka mp-110. which one is best for me?

The Nagaoka MP-110 has better bass reproduction and the overall sound is smoother while the 2M Blue is a bit more detailed sounding in the higher frequencies. I prefer the Nagaoka MP-110, personally, and can vouch how it sounded since I own one.

Is it recommended to buy a separate platter mat?

Thanks for your question! The RT85 does not require a platter mat, records can be placed directly on the acrylic! If you do want to add a mat, please feel free to do so as it should not interfere with the vertical tracking angle enough to be outside of our requirements.

is there enough room under the platter to attach led lights?

There is only about 3/32" clearance between the platter and the plinth and the platter is solid of the same thickness through its area.
