Q: Would you be able to give us the id of them? because most folks can know the od of the thing...but now way to tell what size we need.

The very smallest size unstretched is about 1/2", the large is about an 1 1/2" and goes up from there.

Q: Can it be used as a belt loop?

I use one every day on my belt to keep the end from sticking out. It’s a fairly stiff belt that I’ve been using daily for several years for CCW and I’m still using the original band.

Q: Do you make them in smaller sizes?

Q: How do these hold up to the cold? As in freezing temperatures?

They hold up quite well. They're made from a material called EPDM, which is also used as a roofing material. Wikipedia says that EPDM retains its elastic properties as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. We hope we never experience a temperature cold enough to test this.
