Q: Am I missing something? I connected this to my electric guitars and only got mono. I expected stereo.

The output jack of 98% of electric guitars has a hot signal on the tip and a ground on the sleeve. That's why instrument cables have a tip and a sleeve -- to accommodate those connections. Plugging a stereo cable into a monaural guitar will not make it stereo. You're only get signal to the tip -- the left side output. If you want to hear out of both sides of earphones, you'd first have to run your guitar to a mixing desk, then to your headphones.

Q: Do these work with beats headphones? I have a pair of the newer ones
