Start applying when the tree exits dormancy and continue until it bears fruit. For best results, switch to a lower-nitrogen formula (like Farmer’s Secret Fruit and Bloom or similar), though it's also fine to use this throughout the growth cycle.

How much do I apply per tree?

For trees in their first two seasons, use up to five teaspoons per week. For mature trees, use up to 10 teaspoons per week.

How often do I apply? Does the weekly dose need to be applied in one watering?

We recommend applying weekly but that doesn't mean the full dose needs to be applied in one watering. You could do multiple waterings or if you are using an irrigation system, you might apply slowly over the course of the week.

Can this product only be used on Fruit Trees?

Although the formula is optimized for use on fruit trees, the nutrients in the product are beneficial for just about any trees or plants you have in your garden. Neighboring plants getting some of the feed is not an issue at all.

Is it safe to eat fruit produced from trees fed with this product?

Yes, absolutely. Everything in this product is from naturally occurring substances that are already present in the soil and being used by your trees. There is nothing in the product that trees (and humans) don’t consume on an everyday basis.

Practically speaking, no. It has a shelf life of 10 years, so if you’re so inclined, feel free to order a decade’s worth today. Opening it will not impact that.

How do I apply? Do I spray on my trees or apply to my soil?

Either one! This product works great for soil application or foliar feeding (spraying on leaves). For soil, apply along the drip line. For foliar, spray in early morning or evening to reduce evaporation. Works with irrigation systems too.

How long does it take to see results?

It depends on a lot of factors: type of tree, climate, stage of growth cycle, etc. but we have seen some pretty amazing results literally overnight. However, usually it takes a couple applications before you really start to have noticeable results!

What makes liquid fertilizer better than granulars?

There are pros and cons to each, however, we are a bit biased towards liquid fertilizers. Liquid feed has the advantage of being immediately available for trees to utilize. Granulars can take a long time (if ever) to be useable by trees.
