This is made with quality materials and looks it. I have it displayed on the coffee table in my living room and it's gotten compliments. I also like the feel of the chess pieces--they have weight and are beautifully finished. The magnet is just right. I'm a beginner at chess and am liking the game, so the set is more than something to look at; it's practical. The pieces are stored within the board. I thought the price was moderate, expecting something higher. It's a good bargain.

I can find no flaws in this chess set, and I am pleased with the color contrast, board design, and magnetic chess pieces that work well and stay on the board. The included game instructions have pretty small print, so I printed my own instructions off the Internet. I am very pleased with my purchase!

Well built, pleasant to use, great value.

I looked at about 50 sets on different sites. I found about 3 sets I liked, but they didn't have the numbered and lettered margins I thought may help my young grandsons. Then I found this one. It seemed perfect and got great reviews. So, I settled on this one. As soon as it was received my grandsons attacked the package and cheered. They loved how beautiful it is. The magnets work well. The board lays flat. Th pieces are smooth and well made. They have been playing Chess every since. We found an activity that is better than those mindless video games. Yay!!!
