Q: What are the actual dimensions in inches of the sound bar itself please? (as opposed to those of the package it comes in)

I received my unit yesterday. With the unit sitting on a table top, my measurements agreed with the measurements provided in the Yamaha specifications on their web site: Dimensions (W x H x D): Installing the unit in front of a TV: 23-5/8" × 2-1/2" × 3-3/4", Mounting the unit on a wall with spacers: 23-5/8" × 2-1/2" × 4" I found the photos of the unit to be visually confusing. At times it appeared to be taller, and at other times, deeper. So with it sitting on a table top: the top surface (the surface with the control buttons) is 2.5 inches above the table top. And the dimension across the the top surface of the unit is 3.75. My width measurement also agreed with the spec: 23 5/8". I can't vouch for the wall measurement but see no reason why it would be incorrect.

Q: can the sound bar go on and off at the same time as the tv or do i have to turn it on and off each time i turn on the tv?

Q: Can I control the volume & power with a firestick remote via IR?

Yes. I use one on my TV. Controls volume and power.

Q: does this have a headphone jack?
