Don't have to deal with monthly ink program like my old printer sucked me into. I like the large capacity ink system and the fact we at pressured into a pay per page ink replacement monthly plan makes me happier than ever with this printer. I print beautiful photos and clear copies. easy to make scans and print documents.

Printer was easy to setup & get started. I am adjusting to subtle differences between this & my previous printer. This is the first model I've used with refillable ink tanks, so 🤞Print Speed is as expected.

This is a very nice printer and the quality I expect from being a Canon user for years. Here are a few notes on assembly and setup. Excellent print quality for both text and schematic documents to start.1.) The unit has a touch screen display. This is very easy to read and adjustable for your desired viewing angel.2.) There is some adhesive tape strips applied in several areas, I think about 3 strips. Make sure to remove them, asthey are not mentioned anywhere.3.) All your hardware setup will be done using the LED display, which is OK, but pay attention to detail. There isNO PAPER setup instructions.4.) I like the way they do the new ink cartridges, Unscrew the cap, put it on the input and let it flow and no Mess.Pay attention the refill cartridges P/N's. On this unit the, Prima G4280, the NUMBER is 21.5.) The software was not as easy as my previous printer. Some items are in the setup, others you have to downloadlike the scanner operation.6.) The Maintenance software is in the operating system, not downloadable. This isn't clear on how to locate, and Ihad to call Canon tech support after about 1.5 hours looking for downloads etc online.7.) I really like this printer, although I haven’t had it long. That said, setup was a bit of a challenge. It didn’t install from plug and play, but I’m running Windows 7 and that could have been a factor. They give you a web address for installation instructions which lists a BUNCH of different equipment and topics. I finally searched on G-4280 setup and that link took care of everything. Adding ink went fine and I think the decision to get away from cartridge printers was a good one. Print quality looks good and so far, I’m very pleased.

Love this printer! Had a super tank competitor previously. The print quality wasn’t as good, was much slower and wouldn’t allow me to print from my phone after an update. This printer has much better color fidelity, AirPrint works flawlessly from all devices and comes in black (a color that was not available with a competitor’s product). Three things that could improve the printer, however at this price point I don’t expect two of them as possible. First, setup was tricky. No good step by step. You need to install the print heads first, then the ink before doing anything else. The guide Canon provided said nothing about this. Secondly, the auto document feeder is slow but I don’t mind that too much. Third, double sided printing would be nice without having to manually reverse the paper in the feeder after the first side prints. The last two points are to be expected for what I paid but all in all I would buy this printer again.

Junk! Junk! Junk! Why? Well because it was working just fine for two months. Now suddenly it’s a piece of junk! I had a canon for 10 years, and it was perfect. I upgraded to this one oaring the cheaper made material and it started acting up, eating the paper the paper jamming constantly smearing the cartridge, unable to clean the nozzles, unable to realign it was never dropped or abused. It worked fine for two months I bought the four year warranty on it. I didn’t even get past the manufacturers warranty. Amazon took it back. I like Canon but I would never buy another one of their cheap inkjet printers so I say Avoid this one. It’s not the same canon as I had for 10 years running. It’s sad because I was so excited for this printer and I noticed it it’s cheaply made but I ignored it. I just thought it would be fine. Big mistake Buy something else or return it before it’s too late! It’s cheaply made.All of these positive five stars are seeing are temporary. About the four-year extended warranty and it didn’t even last two months.
