Some what its like a Lego set the words are in Japanese but the instructions are in English its easy to read even if a person can't read at all. Its exactly like a Lego instruction booklet

sorry for the wait, the box doesn't mention how many parts are included and he doesn't have the manual anymore. being that it's the size (length wise) of a medium/large sketchbook and it will as an estimate have 300-400 parts total being there's are about 15 large part sheets and 5 smaller part sheets

Q: How are the joints holding up for such an old kit?

No issues with mine. Holds poses wonderfully, granted not on a stand though.
