So I have an old PS2 sat literally in a shoebox in a cupboard. True story. I came upon the opportunity to try this RCA to HDMI Adapter from Gamer Gear and seized the chance.Once this unit arrived I dug out my old PS2. After giving it a dust/wipe with one of those surface wipes I hooked everything up. It is simple for the most part although at first I did make a small mistake. Obviously there is an input for the red/yellow/white RCA cables that go to your source (in my case PS2) and an output for which you need an HDMI cable (there is no HDMI cable provided in the box you will need to have your own). However on the side of this unit there is also an outlet for a USB cable. Now, there is a USB cable provided but first time round I just hooked up the RCA and the HDMI, I didn't bother with the USB. Didn't work! Turns out you need the USB plugged into a power source at all times to keep it running. Makes sense really - that's why they give you the USB cord in the box! But in my defense sometimes things can power independently and don't always need the secondary power source, so that's why I tried it without first time around.Anyways once my small confusion was cleared up and my USB was plugged into a power source I could immeidately see my PS2 home screen on the TV. Simple as that. Hook everything up, plug everything in and you are good to go. It works exactly as it is supposed to and I can be nothing other than pleased with it.I do have a little trepidation because I feel like I might be about to do something stupid like go and buy a bunch of PS2 games...but that's all on me and not really the fault of this product. Actually cancel that, it is entirely the fault of this product I just can't hold it against it as it is my fault to begin with for opening this Pandora's box!

Great bit of kit. Does the job to link an old PS2 to a ne TV.

Perfect for allowing me to use my old Nintendo 64 and ps1 games on my 4k screen. Previously the video was blotchy and heavily pixilated. This removes most of the problems and looks good with all things considered. Installation is easy with the supplied usb power cable. Good value and works really well.
