I used this for my day home science activity for 3-5 year olds. We soaked them beforehand for about 10 minutes. The kids were able to excavate their dinosaurs within a reasonable amount of time. The really little ones needed a bit of help, but the older ones were able to do it independently. They were so excited, this was probably one of their favourite activities! I love that you can play a game afterwards with the dinosaurs.

Messy but my daughter had so much fun with it!

I used these at my kiddos bday party at the park, and the kids LOVED them!We hid the eggs in the sand for them to find, and when they did it was up to them to break them open to get their dino!We made a game about it to learn about dinos. It was a lot of fun. Both parents and kids were having fun and loving the whole thing.

These are fun. The outer egg is a bit messy so I recommend doing this outside or on a 9x13 pan or something like that. We only did three at a time. If we did them ALL at the same time, we would have had quite the mess. The little dinosaurs inside are small but don’t seem too cheep. Also, you can then use the dinosaurs for a chess game with an included mat. We thought that was fun. We also ran our eggs under water for a quick 3 seconds. That was long enough.
