This is a 2 oz pump type bottle that releases 5% minoxidil when dispensed. I like the 5% minoxidil versus the 2% because it works faster and more effectively to help me regrow hair. You have to use the product everyday, sometimes twice a day in the morning and evenings on clean wet hair. (If your hair is clean but not wet I usually just keep a water bottle to rewet mine to use this product exactly where I need it). I have found that I mostly need this type of product in the crown of my head where I have the thinnest hair.When the product is dispensed it has no detectable odor or scent. It does foam up nicely in my hand. I took a photo of my finger because this minoxidil foam is thick and stays in place. Also, I noticed after I put this on my hair I don't have any residue left on my fingers and no stickiness, but still wash your hands after using. This product does have a an expiration date on the end of the box but I don't see it printed on the bottle so I would definitely keep the box or make a note of the expiration date if you plan on keeping this in storage for later.One last thing I noticed is that the foam dispense plastic bottle has a little piece of metal foil over the actual dispensing hole itself that needs to be removed before you can use the product. I've been using this product every night for close to a month and I'm just now getting to the end, so this product does last a good while.

This product needs to be used consistently and for a long time to see real results. It has minoxidil in a convenient foam applicator and natural ingredients that are said to help with hair growth. This is also a results will vary product. Some people respond better to this than others. It does give hair volume and do not use too much of it at a time or your hair will feel coated and you will be wasting product.

After only a month, you won't really see a difference with Minoxidil, but it's proven to work. Not everyone will benefit from Minoxidil unfortunately. I do prefer this type of dispensing method. The liquid is messy, but the foam stays in place and easier to apply. Which is why the foams are always more expensive. If the price wasn't as high as it was, I would rate this 5 star because all generics are the same, but the price is quite a bit higher than other generic brands.

I had to stop using this as it, or it in combination with other products I'm using, has caused irritation and sort of little pimples on my scalp. The ingredients look like good quality and it's easy enough to use. Just not the right product for me.
