Everything about this was great.Good quality. We used it to cover the hot tub when it rains.

When the box arrives it looks intimidating but honestly, it's just 3 level brackets.
Can't fault it other than the previously mentioned bolts that came with the awning, they're terrible sooo...I bought 14mm 'Raw plugs' raw bolts from Travis Perkins and they were amazing I also doubled down and filled the holes and back of brackets with Tec's PGB.The awning is 3m x 2.5m, instructions were OK, everything lined up first time and both arms retract level and square.Over the moon with my purchase, pics to follow.

it can be done
1. you must measure right. If you look at the bracket and the support beam, you'll see they fit exactly. So there's no room for mis-measure.2. the you-tube video isn't that helpful. he's using a laser sight (see above for accuracy.) but he does say, which the instructions don't that you need 6" clearance over the bracket.3. We put this in what I think is engineered hard red brick.4. drilling. a) use a punch to centre the hole b) use a smaller drill to sight the hole c) drill a little first, then complete with hammer drill. 14mm is an awkward size. It can easily wander. A hammer drill is hard to use.5. tie a thin wire to the near end of the screw in the bracket so you can pull it out of the sleeve after hammering it in the drilled hole. Otherwise...6. Secure brackets tight.THEN LOOSEN UP A BIT to fit the beam, then tighten up again.7. all of the above arose from my mistakes.8. Good luck. It will look nice and it does work.

Take serious note about fixing only to a concrete wall!
My house extension is constructed as most houses are these days using a type of aerated block rather than traditional concrete. The fixings supplied with the canopy are NOT suitable and will pull out immediately. I had to resort to those produced by Dewalt, M10 14mm dia 70mm length. They screw into the same 14mm holes as the original plan. I also did a belt and braces by welding the supplied brackets to 6mm steel to extend the mounting area. The detail can be seen in the photo. This arrangement has proved to be very successful and is extremely stable.
