Bought this in the US ($80) and it's a great AP, easy to setup and you can easily add multiple APs to your network without a problem. However, do note that this AC-LR isn't the 1300 Mbps version, that's the AC-Pro. This only has a throughput of 867mbps!That said, the throughput does drop to about 234 mbps constantly on my Mac even if I sit right next to the AP. Hopefully will be fixed soon.

It just simply works
This a an excellent example of technology done just right. The setup is simple, both from a software and hardware installation - it came with all screws, wall fittings and brackets, and even a detailed guide. The software too is simple, just download the app and connect the system to your router, and you are up and running. It has good range, and is extremely stable - it hasn't gone down despite being on near permanently for a month. This is enterprise level quality in action.Couple of things to bear in mind while using it:1. It is powered over ethernet, so make sure you have supporting lan cables - thicker CAT 6 or CAT 7 cables are better. Personally using them with the amazon basics CAT 7.2. It is only an access point. You will still need a separate modem and router.3. Its beam pattern is oval and in a cone from the center of the disk - so a ceiling mounting is much better than a wall mounting.3. It has good range, but range is not something you should be buying this for. There are many other options that focus on range exclusively (including the reliable ASUS 68-U). But this has a different purpose (in 4 below).4. Its shining use case is if you routinely have many devices that are connected to the internet, and you want it to be stable. This is particularly relevant in today's world of IOT, where the house has so many active internet connections, apart from computers, its mobiles, tablets/ e-readers , air purifiers, smart TV/TV dongles (chromecast/roku/ fire tv), security cameras etc, that you don't realize that there quite often are more than 10 devices that are on the network. Traditional Router/modems start stuttering at this level of use, and loose range, stability as well as throughput/speed. This doesn't suffer from such a failing. The other enterprise options as big plus.Bear in mind, if you are not someone with such a use case, it may be better to use a different (maybe cheaper) device

range is really very poor.

Does not work without a router. Too costly for just an access point. Returned!
