This rusk is perfect for breakfast! Slather on butter and jelly or some fruit, or go the savory route and melt some cheese on top. If you don't know what it is, rusk or beschuit is a very dry and light twice-baked bread, lightly sweet. It's kind of like softer melba toast. Ask a Dutchman!

Do not know what the product is supposed to look or taste like becuse it was shipped in a brown paper bag claiming to be a box. What I received was crushed up crumbs. Of course you can't return it because it's perishable, yes it perishes before you get it. Only order if you need crumbs.

They remind me of croissants made into giant croutons, and they’re supposed to be primarily a vessel for jam or fluffy cheeses. I love croissants, and they’re crunchy, and I didn’t want all the added sugar of putting jam on them, so I ate them plain. One of my three stacks came pretty smooshed, but was still edible. They were crisp, so they were fresh. But I wouldn’t buy these again. If I had nostalgia for them, like they were something from the Old Country, maybe.
