No... Although even if it could why would you want to do that? Emotiva does sell high wattage Mono Amps.A 990 watt Mono? I think you may be putting too much stock into wattage without understanding the dynamics of Audiophile Reference grade speakers in which most top quality speakers have a very high db sensitivity ratio and do not require mass amounts of wattage to put out A lot of sound on far less wattage than the junk speakers Best Buy sells. If you need 990 watts you may want to skip the Amp and start with a pair of Reference floor standing speakers. Wattage rating on speakers is relevant only to their quality and sensitivity to each watt.

Q: I have a Marantz 6008 receiver with pre outs. How do I hook this amp up?

You will need three RCA cables to connect pre-outs to the RCA inputs of the XPA-3. You would use the FL (front left), FR (front right), and C (center) pre-outs from the Marantz to power the front sound stage, then you move the speaker connections over to the amp. Your receiver will still control the crossover settings, volume level, EQ, etc. Once you connect the amplifier to the pre-outs on your receiver, move the speaker connection to the outputs on the amplifier. Once all properly connected you will want to re-run the Audyssey setup.
