Great unit as you get to grips with it.
Had a lot of issues from the wife over this, she was so used to the slim units to go for the bigger design most are using now she took some convincing, but as she needed a new one she got to grips with it and is starting to like the features she hasn't had before, like seeing a text message, being able to take a call from it (although she still gets the phone to do this), and the longer battery life as she was juggling her 2 older models with charging every 3 or so days, now she gets at least a week with this one, but the more features you use the less it lasts, and as she doesn't use the big drains on it (taking a call or playing music) it does her well.

Perfect watch for anyone
This watch hasn't missed a beat. Perfect for anyone who wants to keep track of their fitness and sleep. Also would like to mention the screen is super tough, I wear it through the day we're I do manual work and it is still going strong even with all the bumps and scrapes it has had.

Be careful
Super watch for the week that it worked. In all fairness the reason it stopped working was I changed my phone and went on the play store but the Huawei health app had been removed so now the watch will not display the time or any relevant information. So waste of £100 pound.

Great for health monitoring, great battery, questionable screen durability
I was looking for a watch to keep an eye on my heart as recently it appears to have been doing backflips in my chest. The Huawei looked to have a decent featureset, long lasting battery and I also don't mind the design of the case.It was easy to set up, but note that the Huawei Health app is not available on the Play Store, instead must be downloaded from the Huawei website and permissions changed on the phone to allow use of non-Play Store apps.Connection is via Bluetooth, as the watch has no WiFi and I've had not a single issue with that connection to my Samsung S23 Ultra. The app likes to run in the background, as it claims to be able to do real-time tracking of steps and heart rate on the phone, but in my experience this isn't true. Updating steps and data from the watch to the app requires a manual pulldown to complete for me.Sensor updates can be set on the watch to real-time however, and heart rate does update every couple of seconds. Data on the face itself is dependent on the choice of that face, some of which require purchase within the app. I've not compared the sensor data to any other device, but from what I know of my own resting heart rate it does appear accurate enough to be able to tell if my heart is ticking when it should be tocking. One downside is that it doesn't automatically detect activities. Even a walk requires manual activation to be recorded as a walk and not just steps. My phone knows when I'm walking, and when I'm cycling. This is something that could be improved.Sleep tracking is also good, with the watch tracking sleep duration and quality very well. It is able to detect sleep phases, counts times woken and toilet trips throughout the night, reports breathing quality (probably through the internal microphone) and provides a sleep score automatically when it determines that you've woken in the morning. The watch does need to be manually set to sleep mode, whereby the screen and notifications are disabled and can only be activated by pressing the physical button. The display is good, and I was very impressed when wearing it for the first few days. Resolution, clarity and brightness are all very good. The problem I have with it is that the durability of the face is not good at all and it appears to have picked up some scuffs around the top edge as shown in the images.Battery life was one of the reasons I'd stayed away from smartwatches previously, but I'm happy to say that even with real-time everything bar stress testing turned on I get at least four days out of a charge. That's 24/7 heart rate, blood oxygen, activity tracking, sleep tracking, and the always on display for 16h/day with notifications for emails and WhatsApp for at least four days.I'm very happy with the product, but I can't see the face staying in good condition for very long due to how easily it appears to be marked.

Functional watch, so far so good
OK so, where to start. What to compare it to? I had a fitbit a long time ago which I found ok but wasn't for me. Then I moved onto a Withings watch which was stylish and functional. I've had two Withings watches. I bought into the Withings concept and got a Withings weighing scales too. What irked me about the Withings was limited health data. Yes, it would tell me how long I slept and woke up but the breakdown was poor, the detail was poor. The straps marked my wrists with persistent use. My Withings marriage came to an end.My missus is apple everything. I once had an apple iPhone but when I was forced down a software upgrade and subsequently lost everything, I swore I'd never ever do apple again and have stuck to my resolution since then. Android all the way.But the apple watch is aesthetically appealing. Huawei traditionally has a round face. I wanted something Appley without it being so. When I saw this watch, I decided to give it a go. It ticked my initial boxes. I didn't jump in, took the time to read reviews online etc.I've had it about a week. Haven't charged it since the initial charge and is at 55%. They advertise 20 days or so but the more you have enabled on the watch, the less it's going to last. Online reviews from "experts" say it will last longer but again depending on what you have enabled. The sleep data is great. Breaks down into rem, deep sleep, light sleep, breathing disturbances, wake ups, naps, sp02 readings during sleep, heart data etc. It gives meaningful tips on improving sleep quality, shows how you do daily compared to other users. There are lots of bells and whistles on the sleep tracking.General day to day does everything you'd expect, step tracking, will track running on a treadmill, rowing on a rower but doesn't handle cycling on a exercise bike. You can avail of fitness plans, objectives, daily goals etc. Everything I can think of, it can do.One of biggest gripes with my previous watch is that I couldn't respond to messages easily. Picture this - I'd be out walking the dog, lead in one hand, I'd get a message "are you ok, dinner will be ready soon", for me to answer it, I have to stop walking, get the dog to sit, take out my phone from pocket, unlock it, type a message to answer. Put phone back in pocket, continue walking. Cue a follow up message, same exercise happens again. It happens almost daily, some variation. It irks the life out of me. If I didn't answer, cue onslaught of other messages. Ok, sounds like a different problem but I had no easy resolution. Now, I can send a quick reply via watch. You can't type your own messages but rather use predefined short messages from app. But when I'm out walking or busy where I can't use my phone, I won't have a dynamic conversation with someone (otherwise I'd use phone), I just want to say "ok" or "walking dog, back soon" or "ok thanks".The watch itself is bright, can have different settings to activate, has a compass on case you get lost in the desert, can play music, can take a phone call from it, can swipe to see different data summaries, can see weather data etc.All in all, happy with it so far.

Better than Fitbit
The app has very small writing and I don’t find it very intuitive but the watch is cool. Bought it to replace Fitbit as fed up of Fitbit screen going black and being unable to fix it. Lot of nice features on the watch and good value
