What my older boat needed.
I was hesitant to replace the chromed metal hatch and door latches on my 18' Wellcraft center console that had become corroded with flexible rubber latches, so I ordered two and tried them out. I first installed the t-latches to hold down hatch covers on the boat. The product solved my problem in two ways. First the latches were so easy to install with stainless steel bolts that I got separately from my local hardware store. Second, the latches are easy to operate and they are soft enough to not injure my legs and arms if I pass to closely unlike the former metal latches. And also unlike the metal latches, I do not have to polish them. For me, the price was a bargain too. I ended up reordering more for the rest of the boat's hatches and doors.

Perfect fit
From time to time you wear tear your rubber latch. Nice to know you can easily replace them with a quality part that is a perfect fit.
