A great budget P mount cartridge
The media could not be loaded. One of the trickiest things about buying a vintage linear tracking turntable is the fact that few of the original cartridges and styli are in good operating condition. Rebuilt ones cost an arm and a leg and are rare as hens teeth. Often you want to get up and going quickly, even just in order to check the table is fully functional. So this At cart is perfect. It is very reasonably priced, sounds very good and can be delivered in days. There are better sounding options you can move to eventually if you want, but personally I could be quite happy with this cart, especially as the SL7 is not my main turntable.

Great Service
The product arrived on time.I telephoned the company before use as instructed if I had any concerns.Very helpful chap alleviated my concerns. The cartridge was an excellent replacement for my original. However on installation the quality wasn't as expected. I had to return it.Would highly recommend the seller

Easy to fit!
Getting a Technics SL DD33 back running. It had an Ortofon cartridge and stylus but stylus had no identifying marks so not easy to be sure about what to buy as replacement. I emailed Ortofon with cartridge number but no reply so I went for the Audio Technics AT85EP. Simple plug in, reinserting securing screw.Significant improvement over the previous set up. It's only on its 3rd LP now but the sound is very balanced and I can't fault it. Apparently, it will improve a bit over age...I don't know how much the Ortofon stylus would have been but this does the trick. I am a bit of a novice so maybe could have got something more sophisticated but, at 63, this is just fine for my old ears.

Great stylus
It's a great stylus, I could tel the difference in sound from the original one on my technics, I was disappointed that the screw in the photos wasn't included as the original screw was lost years ago. Wasn't mentioned anywhere that the screw was not included.

Seriously makes a difference - very impressed . . .
I thought I'd be hard-pushed to discern a difference between the old Technics SL DD33 factory-installed cartridge and the new one but, man alive, the difference was clear from the very first track I played. I'm not an audiophile but the vinyl immediately sounded more alive with clearer high notes and a much less muddy bass. VERY HAPPY. Highly recommend.(One tiny little screw is all that's needed to remove and then replace the unit)

Huge upgrade
I used this to replace the original 1990 P24 cartridge in an old Technics turntable as the sound had lost a lot of fidelity in the high-end and was audibly distorted, even with a brand new stylus. I was sceptical but this cartridge hugely improved the sound quality and brought it in-line with a modern turntable.

Great quality & value
I replaced the original? Technics cartridge in my SL-5 turntable with this one after reading good reviews. I was disappointed; the sound is vastly improved. It was a straight replacement and worked perfectly without the need for any additional adjustments. Very easy to fit and a great price too.
