It did not fit my kettle unfortunately too return

Bought this as a long shot to see if it could replace the switch in my daughter's Dualit kettle. Yes, even they fail. I had already cleaned the contacts to get it working again, very fiddly using emery paper, but it failed again a couple of weeks later with obvious discoloration of the contacts.This was a perfect fit to the base but I had to cut the old switch from the element leaving a generous amount of copper and used crimped spade connectors and suitable pieces of wire all suitably insulated to connect to the replacement switch. The indicator light can also be incorporated with a bit of ingenuity.The only problem, which isn't really a problem, is you can't fit the innermost 3 screws on the underside of the kettle.Been working a treat for 3 months so far and it gets heavy use.

Bought to replace original in my Dualit kettle and its completely the wrong size. Ended up throwing the kettle as its impossible to get the part. 2nd time its happened to me, best thing is to not buy a Dualit kettle!
