The qizmo does go to the "thousandth" (or 3 digits after the decimal). It is tryin to give a more precise reading that u would otherwise get with just 2. In most cases, .08 is legal limit, for work purposes, usually half or .04 would be ur limit or other cases with a sensitive job, .02. Needless to say... if u need to stay below .02... knowing where u are at on that 3rd digit helps a lot... since the difference between .001 and .009 is huge.

Q: It says 0.000 after 2 beers. How do I calibrate?

U must send into the company to calibrate. YOU can not do it. BTW... depending how soon after consuming the 2 beer makes a huge difference. It is also dependent on if u have consumed a meal. It also depends if its low alcohol (such as ultra or LITE) vs an import. I've used after having a beer with 000, and 30 min later showed a .005 or a trace result. the gizmo does have a "margin of error"... trace amounts are hard for any gizmo to detect. A male that is approx 200lb drinkin only 2 beer is simply not goin to register much more than a trace amount. The company does say it recommends a calibration done after so many months or counts of use. I think its like over 500 counts of use to send it in.

Q: 1- What is the reading/capability range (0-100 %)? 2- Can the mouthpiece be dip into liquid?

It reads 0.00-to whatever the level of alcohol is detected.

Q: How does this compair tobthe s80?

Sorry, I have no idea...this is the only breathalyzer I have ever bought or tried. This one works well and is easy to use.
